PLEASE READ: BRWARE
There currently is a SCAM going on where a scammer calls a small company my situation is the lawn care service asks for there services at my flip houses address. So these people stoP by to mow and get estimates to give to the scammer. The he agrees to the estimated price and sends a digital check it says it goes through and then the scammer acts as if he accidently misread the quote and sent to much money so he then asks for you to send the extra back via zelle or another permanent payment method then you find out a few days later the check is bad and the scammer is fake and gone.
I PERSONALLY just had this happen to me my address is where the scammed is sending these companies too. A young lawn care business Owned by high school boys just trying to make an honest living mowed my yard and thought they were talking to the owner. After they figured out what was going on the dad called me to tell me my house was being used in a scam since Monday 5 other companies have showed up trying to mow or look at the property so they can provide a quote. I have told them all and explain the situation the only thing we can think to do is get the word out locally so this doesn't happen to another company. Please please spread the word if you know a small business please tell them do not provide any services unless you meet a physical person at the said address. PLEASE SHARE!!
