What a great makeover on this large bathroom. I didn’t expect the subfloor to be that rotten. It didn’t show any signs of water damage during the walkthrough. So.. if you are at the point where you can notice/feel the floor in your bathroom is bouncy/soft I would guarantee it’s worse than you would imagine. It can be really dangerous to walk on & not to mention constantly breathing the mold and mildew everyday. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Work completed:

• Demo of existing tub surround / shower / subfloor.
• Added floor joist support.
• New Advantech flooring installed.
• Relocated the toilet out of the corner.
• Built in some floating white shelves in its place.
• Installed the new tiled wall in shower (waterproofed in shluter products)
• Added a 16” pull bar inside the shower & a 12” pull bar getting out.
• Used a delta shower valve with a wand diverter.
• Framed in a 21” tall corner bench seat.
• Installed slow close sliding glass doors.
• framed in a 3ft tub wall and waterproofed the tub surround.
• Tiled the tub surround and added black shluter trim.
• Put in a 40” quarts tub shelf.
• Installed a new exhaust fan/light.
• Replaced the can lights over the tub.
• Added 2 flush mount lights inside the shower.
• Added 1 power new outlet & moved the others to be symmetrical over the vanity.
• Replaced the mirror & vanity top.
• We sealed up the bathroom closet door wall and opened it up into the clients bedroom for a master bedroom closet.
• New matte black tub fixtures / towel racks / towel hooks.
• Added a 16” pull bar beside the toilet.
• Installed some new black LVT waterproof flooring.
• Patched some crack/holes in the walls and re-textured the walls to match the knock down texture.
• Painted all walls and ceiling.
• Installed white baseboards and crown around the cabinets.
• Added 2 access panels for both the shower and tub water cut offs.
• Everything converted to PexB water lines with new cut off valves for all fixtures.

This home had a deck built directly on top of a screened in back porch years ago. We were called out to look at replacing the deck boards/handrails & to fix the eve/soffit around the bottom section. After further inspection we realized that the entire roof of the screened in porch was rotten and falling apart.. somebody had screeched a large rubber mat across it to try and slow down the rot.

So after confirmation with the home owner we both agreed the roof needed fixed while we could access it from the top while we had the old deck boards off. So we did the following..

• Replaced the roof sheeting & installed a metal roof on the screened in bottom section.
• Built on new eves.
• Installed all new facia / drip edge / rain guard.
• Added in some extra blocking to stiffen up the handrail posts.
• Added flashing & Ziptape to all deck joists.
• Installed all new treated deck boards.
• Replaced the handrails with treated 2x6 tops.
• Tightened up all lag bolts underneath to stiffen up the side walls.
• Fixed the sliding screen door to open/close/lock properly.

Quick little job from a while back.

• New LVT flooring.
• New toilet.
• New vanity.
• Touched up some paint around the bottom.
• Installed some bifold doors on the closet.

We were in & out in a day and a half. Client was happy. We were happy to help. Message me to talk estimates. I’ll post some more before and after pictures of my bigger remodels in the next few days.

We fully restored this home.. what do you think? We replaced & refinished all the walls, floors and ceilings. Trimmed out all the windows. Installed 8 new standard doors & installed 4 sliding barn doors. We added new lights, switches and outlets all around. Client decided to add 12x24 tile to the front entry. We also remodeled the bathroom & installed a walk in shower while we were there. - (Shown in a separate post.)

Installed 5 1/2” shiplap on this ceiling last week. There was little to no room around the cabinets for any type of crown or molding.. so we picture framed the edges like we do on deck builds. I thought it turned out looking pretty good.

Bathroom Remodel
( Like / Share - Licensed & Insured )

I had already pulled the shower and corner bathtub out before I remembered to take pictures. Here is a small breakdown of work completed.

• Demo of the shower/tub/subfloor.
• Replaced the rotten subfloor sheets.
• New shower valve / shower head & handle.
• Added new water cut offs & access panel.
• Installed a new delta shower pan & walls.
• Built in some shelves for the side.
• Installed 12mil vinyl plank. (slate oak)
• 2 coats of paint & baseboards.
• New toilet water line / tank gaskets / wax ring.

Message/Call me for estimates. In this current moment hesitating could be the difference between waiting 3-4 weeks or 6-8 months. Don’t wait if you really need/want something finished before spring & summer.

Full Bathroom Remodel.

We got this knocked out in about 3 weeks. We were initially just suposed to frame in the dividing wall and put a bathroom in the back corner.. but after removing the sheet vinyl we realized the subfloor was rotting & flaking off. It was also extremely bowed. After consulting with my client and showing her the situation.. she quickly decided to replace & re-level the entire subfloor. At that point we agreed that it would look the best to just extend the tile through both rooms. What do you think? I believe it was a very smart call on her part. It’s always great to have clients that are open minded & want to do things the correct way.

Work Completed:

• Full demo of floor / walls / ceiling.
• Subfloor replacement / floor leveling.
• Installed moisture resistant sheetrock.
• Tiled walk in shower. (3x6 subway tile)
• Tiled floor with wooden plank tiles.
• Installed the new toilet / vanity / vanity & celing lighting.
• Added new cut off valves for all water locations.
• Crown & baseboards installed throughout.
• Applied wall texture & painted all walls and ceilings.
• Installed the slow close shower doors.
• Repaire & Reinforced the floor joist under the house that was causing the floor to bow.
• Re -installed the old ceiling fan in another room.
• Fixed kitchen sink plumbing & installed new spray faucet.
• Updated the washing machine access panel.
• Updated the dryer pigtail & plug.
• Installed a pull bar in an other bathroom.
