Restoration of Small-town New Mexico benefits local residents and draws visitors not just from the US and the Americas but from Europe and Asia as well. The romance of the Old West is unique; cowboys, steam engines, and famous lawmen (and infamous outlaws) is part of our regional heritage yet we are so much more. MainStreet, (at the state level) provides guidance and technical support to those communities willing to meet the challenges of transforming themselves.

🌸 Downtown Flower Barrel Update 🌸

Today, MainStreet added more flower barrels to downtown businesses with the help of the Garden Club. We also want to thank Keep Luna County Beautiful for providing 20 barrels to our community.

We were able to place 10 barrels today, but some of the remaining barrels were allocated elsewhere. As a result, we'll need to wait until July to receive more barrels for the businesses we promised would get one. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

💧 Want to help keep downtown blooming? We're looking for Water Flower Barrel Volunteers! Stop by the Visitors Center at 800 E. Pine Street to fill out a volunteer form or call 575-546-2674 for more information.

A little update from downtown Deming! ✨

La Michoacana Monarca at 123 S Gold Ave recently added window vinyl to help keep the building cooler and create a more comfortable experience for customers during these hot summer days. We want to thank them for investing in their business and helping keep our downtown welcoming and vibrant.

We're also sharing a historic photo of the building so you can take a trip back in time and see what stood here before. It's always exciting to see how our downtown evolves while preserving its rich history.

Just Kreating and Zia Squeeze and More have officially moved to their new location at 119 S. Gold Avenue in the heart of the Deming MainStreet District!

🌼 Downtown Deming is Blooming! 🌼

Deming MainStreet has refreshed several flower barrels by replacing dead or missing flowers and has added new trees along Cody Road. Even more flower barrels will be added in the coming weeks!

A special thank you to Keep Luna County Beautiful, Walmart Deming, City of Deming for their support in helping beautify our downtown district.

Many local businesses are adopting flower barrels, and we'd love to have more participants. If you're interested in adopting a barrel. Please comment below. We will be creating a watering schedule spreadsheet to help ensure the barrels are watered regularly throughout the week, or more as needed.

Thank you to the Garden Club for helping care for so many of the flower barrels!
