How cute are these little ones?! 🐣

The one on the left is an olive/Easter egger mix so (hoping it’s a hen) it will lay either a pretty blue or olive green egg.

The one on the right is a maran mix so it’ll likely (if it’s a hen) lay a dark brown egg, darker than what we’ve already been getting!

Either way, in a few months we’ll be adding even more shades and colors to our already colorful egg assortment ☺️

Our spoiled chickens are fed more than just dry pellet feed…

They get plenty of treats including meal bugs for protein to lay, fresh fruit & veggie scraps, black oil sunflower seeds as well as their microgreens for vitamins & minerals including omegas, and much more. Natural herbs, ACV, and probiotics for natural health care means their eggs are free from any extras.

The better they eat, the better we eat 🤗

Hi! 👋🏼

We’re Chelsea & Matt. Over the past 6 years we’ve gradually added more projects to our “modern homestead” here in south Denham springs, LA in an effort to provide healthier, locally raised nourishment for our family. This year we have decided to expand to our neighbors!

We have fresh eggs every day, kindling rabbits due any day now, will have fresh produce baskets this spring/summer, fresh cut flowers, plus much more! Follow along on this public page for all the fun and goods ☺️
