The laundry room/ pantry got a new paint color (Sherwin Williams Canyon clay) and I love it. Next week I’ll install the cabinet doors I made for the laundry side and this room will be done… (again 😉…..but with each version, more and more beautiful and functional)

The shutters are done and installed and they look so good!! I was nervous about the color ( ‘grassland’) but it’s great! I didn’t want a ton of contrast and adding this neutral green tone just worked perfectly. Listen..painting a front door and/or shutters are a great, relatively quick way to change the look of your house….and it’s budget friendly. Changing my initial plan (the color) was a low stakes choice. Totally worth it 👊🏼 Now I can’t wait for the yard to green up and the perennials the grow in. Thank you, Lord, for spring!

*that’s not my address…don’t worry☺️* It’s spring and it’s finally time to tackle the shutters I talked about adding TWO YEARS AGO. I’m repurposing some that the neighbors didn’t want and I already got the supplies to make the rest. They’ll all be painted so I have to pick the color! In stories I asked if I should go darker or lighter..now I’m thinking somewhere in the middle will be juuuust right. 👌🏼 My goal is to have them done so we can mount them next weekend! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 (you can search “shutters” on the blog for a full run down of sizing and look I’m going for)

The guest room is 100% more charming than it was a week ago and I’m super happy about it. The wallpaper was from a project that didn’t end up happening. The bed skirt is a sheet I cut up and stuck to the frame. Then I made a picture ledge with a gallery rail. The railing and fasteners would have cost around $130 for the length of the wall..I did it for $25. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I’ll make sure to share those details soon because I can’t get over how good it looks.

I’m not done but I’ve spent the last 2 cold days painting this cat “wallpaper” in our 8 year olds room. It’s soooo fun and cute! She’s a fan….which is good because it’ll be here a while 😅
