Been putting in the effort this week on our trail project near Burlington, NC! 🌲🥾
We installed a substantial trench drain to keep the path wash-out free, and added some sleek, modern-looking path lights—because sometimes you just have to get out there in the dark! 💡🌙
We’re hoping to be wrapped up by Friday... but in fact, we’d love to be rained out Friday and have an excuse to return on Monday! 😉🌧️

Been working on the trail in the woods near Burlington, North Carolina for a few days. It’s gonna be a fun walk for the owners.

Years of runoff and a construction crew using it as their personal waste bin have filled this french drain up with sediment. No big deal we just clean out the old stone and install new.

Seems like we’re always working on hills. Hardwood mulch is our preferred product on these steep slopes shredded pine for most everything else.

Planting in dry conditions is brutal, but here’s our decades-old secret: submerge your new plants for 1-2 minutes until the bubbles stop. 🫧
It might look like a hit straight out of The Sopranos, but this deep soak gives the roots a massive hydration head start. It takes a little extra time upfront, but our survival rate speaks for itself. 💧💪

Crazy commute traffic today

Mulch blower earning its keep today in the uwharrie mountains. We’re mulching all this “soil” and will return in the fall/winter to plant some ground covers into it to get some stabilization.
