The fragrant Angel Face Rose is now in the third round of blooms. Old spent blooms were deadheaded or clipped off just above the next set of leaves to encourage more blooms. It looks like a katydid ate the bud on the left 😞.

Small onion bulbs develop this time of year on the tops of Egyptian Walking Onions. You can gently divide the bulbs and plant them where you like, OR when they are heavy enough the bulbs will bow to the ground and transplant themselves. This is why they are called walking onions - they spread or walk by planting themselves nearby. They are great for scallions.

Bursts of tiny, sunshine-hued summer squash are developing on my squash plants despite the daily deluge of flash floods for over a week. I am surprised that they are not rotting.
