This monstera deliciosa is overdue for a repot. I shouldn't have waited so long, but you also don't want to repot a plant that doesn't need it. Let's use this repotting to remind ourselves of some of the signs a plant needs repotted.

Guttation is the process some plans go through to release water from the tips or edges of its leaves.

It is a healthy way for the plant to release excess moisture when it has taken up more than it needs. Guttation happens when root pressure sends water out of the edges or tips of the leaves. Noticeable water droplets are more likely to appear when the humidity is higher.

Sometimes it's just better to chop and toss. Only time will tell with this philodendron, but the top wasn't in great condition and not worth trying to propagate. If the root system is healthy, I will hopefully get multiple growth points; resulting in a healthier, bushier plant.

Time to put some of my plants back outside for the summer. If you have plants that live inside during the winter amd outside in the summer, don't forget to gradually expose them to the direct sun. This will help keep the plant from getting burned by the light they aren't used to, but will eventually love.
