Green Street Sustainability Park is evolving, shaped by the voices, ideas, and energy of the Ridgway community. This project is rooted in three core themes: Plants, People, and Power. And when we say power, we’re talking about more than just community strength — we’re talking about the literal power of solar energy and microgrids, designed to provide electrical resilience and emergency power for the Town of Ridgway.

At our second design meeting, the community came together, offering invaluable insights as we reviewed concepts for the park’s solar features, play areas, restored landscapes and public spaces. Your involvement is a gift, helping to shape something that goes beyond the physical — it’s a space built with intention, care, and the desire to create something lasting.

Join us for a Virtual Public Meeting on the Ludlow Tent Colony Site Master Planning Project on April 15th at 5:30 PM MT!

The Ludlow Tent Colony holds a deep and important place in American history. The site, marked by the tragic Ludlow Massacre, tells a story of labor rights, struggle, and resilience. Preserving this National Historic Landmark in Las Animas County, CO is a chance to honor the people whose experiences helped shape the ongoing fight for workers’ rights and social justice.

Led by the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) with Superbloom Darden + Shuber Architects, Dr. Fawn-Amber Montoya, Karin Larkin and Jane Daniels, this project is focused on thoughtfully preserving the site and the history it represents. We’re excited to share progress on the master planning process and discuss how we can ensure this landmark continues to resonate with future generations.

The meeting is open to the public, and will provide an overview of the planning process, initial ideas, and an opportunity for you to share feedback on the future of this significant site.

👉 Don’t miss it!

📅 When: April 15th at 5:30 PM MT
💻 Where: Virtual (link in bio)

In-person meetings will also take place in June 2025. Stay tuned for more details!

Thank you to for featuring our work in 2025 Outdoor Forecast! For an article on resilient gardens, we had the pleasure of speaking with about our process creating wild, biodiverse landscapes. We also shared insights from one of our recent residential projects that brought these ideas to life for our clients.

Diana writes, “For a family with young children in the Denver suburb of Golden, the studio designed a drought-tolerant yard that bursts with purple Russian sage and switchgrass, while integrating existing rock features. Small lawns in the front and back yards offer areas for the kids to play, but the majority of the space feels like a wild meadow just a few blocks from the house.”

It’s always an honor to be part of conversations that highlight the power of nature and design—especially when it leads to more resilient, sustainable spaces. Thank you, ADPRO and

Populus Hotel has been named one of TIME’s World’s Greatest Places of 2025, and we are over the moon to be part of this incredible list. 🌟

Being named to TIME’s World’s Greatest Places of 2025 acknowledges how Populus is shaping the future of travel — a space rooted in sustainability, design, and community. We’re proud to have contributed to a project that’s not just about a hotel, but about reimagining urban spaces and bringing biodiversity back into the city.

As part of the design team, Superbloom helped bring this vision to life, crafting landscapes that connect guests with nature. The green roof is more than a visual feature; it’s an urban oasis, promoting biodiversity, cooling the space, and improving air quality. The hotel’s streetscape extends this vision, blending the park with the neighborhood while introducing pockets of green that enrich the community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality. We’re thrilled to see Populus continue to inspire and transform.

Superbloom is partnering with Denver Public Schools, Biohabitats, Denver Botanic Gardens, Hydrosystems, and the Neighborhood Resilience Corps to develop a districtwide ‘Sustainable Landscapes Manual’ —a guide for transforming DPS campus landscapes into vibrant Colorado meadows and pocket prairies that bring learning outside the classroom! 🌿✨

As the second-largest landowner in Denver, DPS’s initiative will provide students with the chance to connect with the region’s natural beauty by replacing non-essential turfgrass with native plants and ecosystems that require less water and reflect the character of our local landscapes.

Through pilot projects, students will actively engage with these spaces, uncovering their deeper significance. These won’t simply be gardens—they’ll be living classrooms, teaching sustainability, water conservation, and the vital role of habitat and local ecosystems. By reducing water use and supporting native biodiversity, these landscapes will help conserve our precious resources. 💧🌱

Can a groundbreaking be more than just the start of a project? Can a moment like this carry the weight of history, culture, and community? We believe it can.

Last week, we marked the beginning of something truly meaningful for Denver — the 9th & Navajo project. A deep thank you to Ratio Architects, Mercy Housing, and all the visionary partners who brought this dream into reality.

The ceremony was a sacred one. Doug Good Feather from led a land blessing and traditional dance, honoring the profound connection to the land and its history — acknowledgment of the Indigenous peoples who once called this land home and whose involvement will continue to shape its future.

This project is about more than just buildings. It’s a commitment to community, to wellness, to honoring the past as we move forward together.

A home tucked in the foothills of Golden. We swapped out an expanse of weedy river rock for a mix of native grasses, wildflowers, and hardy perennials. It’s a mini-meadow that not only conserves water, but becomes a ecosystem that supports pollinators, boosts soil health, and looks gorgeous all year. Check out The Spruce, where Dominique from Superbloom shares ideas for making a big impact with small spaces!

Today’s the day! We are so excited to share that Bluff Lake Nature Center has broken ground, beginning the process of renovating this beloved community space. A huge thank you to the folks over at Bluff Lake Nature Center and design & construction teams who are making this project possible. Bluff Lake will soon have new net-zero energy educational center as well as outdoor classrooms, rain gardens, improved native planting and wildlife habitat, and an ADA accessible ramp leading down the bluff.

Collaborating with , the design minimized the building footprint, creating more space for outdoor learning spaces and native plantings while also reducing energy consumption and material use.

We are honored to be a part of the team and can’t wait to see this project come to life. Stay tuned for updates throughout the spring, summer and fall as construction progresses!

This barn owl is sure going to turn some heads!

We are quite excited about the nature-based playground at the upcoming 1881 Park. Farm-inspired play structures located around the barn will be linked together by nature play elements, creating an immersive acre of fun! 🤸 When it comes to engaging spaces that connect kids to their surroundings, we give a real hoot!🦉
