🤪🏜️🌲We're headed into August like WHOOOOA! It's been a busy summer with Breckenridge and Vail farmers markets weekly, as well as adding a large National Park Wholesale account (Capitol Reef)! I figured I'd have one or the other but not both, but sometimes life has other plans. I am feeling like growth is happening a little faster than I anticipated and I'm trying to play catch up. 🤗 Grateful in these hard economic times.

FINALLY MAGNETS!! 🌄
It's always been something I wanted to offer, but I never could figure out the ex*****on of a good magnet until recently. I'll be listing my wildflower painted wood magnets tomorrow! They are a blank slate to say whatever you'd like. 🧲
My favorite mountain town is Silverton, but that's just me :) I like an old west feel and not too touristy.

🌷🌻🌸What's your favorite wildflower that you want to see on a wood slice!

Something funny I was thinking today.... I didn't grow up saying, "gee, I want to make Christmas ornaments when I grow up and sell them out of a storage container!" But yet, here I am... life is funny that way.

I am celebrating 6 years in business this month. When I set out, I'll admit, it was more of a hobby and something for fun. I remember thinking I'd have to come up with a name and a theme. I didn't know these decisions would shape my future.

All I knew is that I loved national parks and I love art. 2 things I still love. The ornaments just hit! What the heck right? Help me celebrate 6 years! We've come a long way together and I truly appreciate you following this very random journey.

I probably don't give these coasters enough love or attention online. These Aspen wood coasters are some of my best sellers with shops all over the U.S. 🪵🫈

Customers LOVE the snarky, funny, beautiful, and simple designs. Mix and match for your curated set of 4 and choose from over 250 designs !! Yes 250!!! 😱🙊

The wood is made from Aspen trees. No, I don't cut them myself. I have a great wood guy for that, who works very hard to make these coasters such high quality. They are properly dried, sliced, sanded, then delivered to me. From there I place designs on each one and the image is laser engraved into the wood. They don't need to be sealed, but if you'd like you can.

🧊🗻🐳National Park #51 (out of 63): Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska 🐧🦭🫍
Glacier Bay, not to be confused with Glacier out of Montana, was formed by Centuries of change from multiple glaciers. The bay was carved out by glacial surges and is the size of Rhode Island. We took a day cruise out of Gustavus, Alaska.

Gustavus is a small fishing town that is only accessible by one commercial flight a day from June to September, out of Juneau. You can also take the marine ferry from Juneau at certain times of year. A very limited number of cruise ships are able to cruise the bay, because it is a protected area. There aren't many places to stay there and very limited amenities. We stayed at the Glacier Bay Lodge, built in the 1960s, with one dining room, no WiFi in the rooms, no TVs, and a daily shuttle that will take you into "town". The town has one burger bar, a coffee shop, a tiny gas station, and a liquor store.

We cruised through the bay on a national park ranger guided catamaran on an 8 hour tour. We saw a black bear, 3 moose, humpback whales, sea otters, spotted sea lions, mountain goats, bald eagles, puffins, and many other birds. We saw several glaciers but got a close up glimpse of the Marjorie Glacier. We didn't see any ice calving, but as you can tell it was COLD! It was an amazing girls trip! We also hiked to a plane crash site, through beaches and ponds, and spent some time in Juneau. I'll post about that one later !

🧊🗻One thing I've always been blessed with is a very clear vision of exactly what I want to do. While it can make me stubborn at times, it has also led me to not let any set backs or challenges stop me from reaching the goals I want to achieve.

I am going to see all the National Parks, each journey has been an amazing story. I say it all the time, but this National park journey has been the honor of a lifetime to experience with family & friends.

Becoming a nurse was another thing I never questioned. I wanted to be a nurse from the time I was a little kid. I don't remember anything else. I had some setbacks in college both financially and academically, but I never let that get in my way. There was no question in my mind that the end result would be the same.

I am so grateful to have this sort of determination as it had made my life so enjoyable, less confusing, and not so frustrating. When I do achieve those goals, I'm only left thinking, okay what now? It's a blessing and a bit of a curse!

Join me as I venture to National Park #51!
