Who knew casually gazing off into the distance takes practice? It’s harder than it looks!

I’ve got news. I started a small business! 🥳 I’m selling hand-knit cowls on Etsy in a shop called LuxeKnittery (link in bio).

These are my original designs, knit with luxe yarns for max coziness and warmth. You won’t find cheap acrylic or itchy wool around these parts! Alpaca, merino, silk… only fabulous fibers! 🐑🦙🧶

Wrapping up goodies in tea towels is my favorite thing. They’re even tied up in string! Forget mittens and ponies and crisp apple strudel… these are a few of my favorite… Does anyone even read captions anymore?

These Turkish towels from make the BEST reusable gift wrap. Here’s a fabulous gift in a gift anyone with a bathroom or kitchen will love!

It’s DIY AC unit season! Anyone else? 😅

We haven’t installed AC at our house yet and today it’s 94 degrees! Boom! Just like that, it’s summer and I can’t handle it.

I watched a few videos and just tried this $60 DIY project. It seems to work, as long as I stay on top of the ice. Might even make things official and drill holes in the cooler for the tubing. 🤔

This was a snap to make and I’m brainstorming improvements for version 2.0. Blog post coming soon - stay tuned!

Dry Tortugas and the Florida Keys were such a welcome break. We’ve been burning the candle at both ends and it was so nice to just step away for a minute. Hope your spring break is/was just as refreshing! 🏝

I wasn't sure this day would come... but we finally finished our DIY kitchen remodel! 🥳

I've shown bits and pieces as we slowly worked on this room over the past few years. The backsplash and floating shelves were on the back burner forever. Like, on an entirely different stove. But it's done!

We kept a lot of the same cabinetry and I painted it. Twice. We also reconfigured a bit, tore out part of a wall, added cabinets, new floor, new countertop, new tile, new sink and faucet.... I thought the trim might break us at the very end, but we made it through.

Have you survived a labor of love like this? What kept you going? I have to say, I'm nervous to tackle the kitchen in our new house... might just put that project on hold for a year or five.

We woke up to temps below 10 degrees today. 🥶 But spring is around the corner… right? Colorado does love to tease!

Give me all the hygge! 🌲🔥☕️📚✨ Today a major wind storm howled through Northern Colorado and all I wanted to do was hide out under a blanket with some hot cocoa.

I made these mugs for a few friends this year, and sent me this cute snap. Her shot is better than mine, so I'm sharing it first! In the second shot, you can see her mug has gold lettering. This was my first crack at a Cricut mug project and it was super simple. I hope it holds up!

Pumpkin displays at Whole Foods are my favorite eye candy. 😍 Anyone else? The coolest part is that these are mostly grown locally!

A few weeks ago, a reader commented on my blog post about preserving pumpkins with a GREAT idea. She wipes them down with bleach wipes every week. It sounds way easier than washing 20-lb pumpkins in a sink full of bleach water. 🤯 Does anyone else do this? I will now...

Has anyone else started planning a contactless trick-or-treat display? Last year, my neighbors were so clever and thoughtful with their treat displays. This was one of my favorites, and I shared a bunch of other ideas on my blog today. I'm inspired to level up this year, and I better get on it - the cheap-o decor at Target is moving fast!

If you get trick-or-treaters, how will you hand out treats this year? Goody bags, candy chute, or an old-school bucket?

Thank gourd, it's fall! 🍂 This year, I've streamlined the decor (none) and am enjoying last year's photos of my front porch. Since we just moved and I'm still unpacking, I don't have it in me right now to decorate.

Does this happen to anyone else? I think some years are just like that for me.
