Trading carpet cleaning for chicken coops! 🐔✨

In mid-December, the Sloane’s Carpet Secret team headed over to Focus Points Family Resource Center to get our hands dirty for a great cause!

We spent the day at Huerta Urbana, a local agricultural social enterprise that’s doing amazing things for the GES (Globeville, Elyria-Swansea) community. From winterizing garden beds to prepping soil and (yes!) cleaning out the chicken coops, we stayed busy making sure the farm is ready for its next season. ❄️🌱

Huerta Urbana isn’t just a garden—it’s a pathway to opportunity. They help families gain economic independence through food production, and participants even earn a CSU Beginner Farmer certificate! 🎓🍅
