I'm gonna rebrand the term for what I do these days from REMODEL TO RELIFE. All my projects anymore and have been for a couple years now is relifeing old homes that have been vacant for many years some decades even. When I'm done relifeing these old homes solo there is a great sense of accomplishment in what I do yes I do get big headed at times. I also would like to explain myself on this point as well. I've invested about 18 yrs into my crafts, it started as floor insulation with a really cool old man I worked under for about 6 yrs. I did this for very little pay for years, at a time my oldest child Spencer was born so money was at its it most importance. At the time I met old man Randy I had been landscaping for many years and was absolutely miserable hot, broken, underpaid and catching heat stroke ( I literally thought I was gonna die in a yard one day). So fast forward 6 yrs or so by this time I'm invested I'M GONNA BE A PROFESSIONAL FLOOR INSTALLER but not just any the best the fastest and the coolest m**o the flooring world had seen 😂. I went on my own creating this business it's stayed only floor insulation for about 3 yrs and I just loved everything outside of the usual hiccups you have in business. I started taking on various task for repeat customers and expanding my arsenal of skills, I took it slow in this aspect of the work and what I mean by that is I slowly learned new skills and sought out the knowledge within my industry by finding older guys who were very well rounded and knowledgeable in their crafts that were willing to pay me little in money but vastly in knowledge. This has been my methodology in this business, seek knowledge obtain the knowledge and then implicate the knowledge without the FEAR OF FAILURE. This is a saying in my house my children are very familiar with " FAILURE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND, IN OUR FAILURES WE LEARN THE MOST,IN OUR VICTORIES WE LEAN NOTHING". So now we're somewhere about 12 yrs into this whole thing and to my point of being cocky I fought, scratched, been burned more times than you can count, and never have given up and never will. My skills speak for the selves I do like 6 trades to a very high standard and follow all industry standards in anything I do. I carry this attitude because I earned it for 1 and 2 NO ONE WILL TOOT YOUR HORN FOR YOU and in the world I exist and live in and feed my family with I ABSOLUTELY NEED THE WORLD TO SEE AND HEAR ME. The kind of work I do is in full assault by trash tradesmen overcharging for trash product and it pi**es me off these guys on tic Tok that know nothing are getting all this recognition while a lot of truly talented men and women aren't seen.
