Craine Architecture

Craine Architecture Denver-based Urban Design and Planning firm focused on creating buildings that belong and places that participate. We are leaders in urban infill design.

Our portfolio is diverse, but we’ve built a reputation for doing what the city needs most — thoughtful urban infill that brings new life to familiar places. Buildings that belong. Places that participate. Our buildings are beautiful. Timeless. But more than that, they make places feel alive. Vibrant street life, bustling storefronts, busy hotels, and welcoming community spaces don’t happen by chan

ce — they emerge from an approach that weaves together architecture, planning, and urban design. Each design responds to the scale and character of the place around it, shaped by its cultural, environmental, and historical context and by the way people experience the space every day. The result is buildings that are used, loved, and strengthen the fabric of the neighborhoods around them. Architecture that listens. We design through dialogue. We listen, ask questions, test ideas, and balance many priorities to bring clarity, cohesion, and creative solutions to the process. Regional expertise clients trust. For more than two decades, we’ve worked throughout the region, learning its context, materials, and people. Our long-standing relationships with municipalities and industry partners keep us engaged from concept to construction, helping projects move forward with efficiency and trust.

It’s going to be a nice weekend to spend some time outside in the neighborhood!

Our friends at the Five Points Business Improvement District are hosting a community planting day along the Welton Street corridor this Saturday. Help plant flowers, refresh planters, and get the corridor ready for the season ahead.

The Five Points BID invites neighbors, local businesses, and volunteers to come together and help bring new life to our corridor. Whether you’ve got a green thumb or just want to get involved, this is your chance to make a visible impact.

It’s for most of us, but it’s BBQ day every day for the residents at Foundryline, our award-winning mixed-use residential project in RiNo.

Why? Because they’re walking distance from Smōk - Denver at The Source Hotel and Market Hall, so they can just follow their noses to a plate of smoked brisket whenever the craving hits.

Award-winning meets award-winning.

Another Colorado business is coming to My Mainstreet Parker!

Love this part of Denver Westword's article about it:

“When I walked on downtown Parker’s Main Street, I said, ‘This is awesome!’” recalls Sean Buchan, co-founder and CEO of Cerebral Brewing.

And that’s all it took.

He points to the walkability of downtown Parker and the neighborhood aesthetic, as well as the support from the city, as giving momentum to the decision to sign a 10-year lease for the space.”

Ten years apart. Different projects, same partnership.

It’s Tony De Simone of Confluence Companies and Dan Craine at Town Council meetings in Castle Rock, first for Riverwalk in 2016 and then for Brickyard in 2026.

The town looks a little different now. The guys? They haven't changed a bit (ahem).

It looks like there’s still some availability for Wednesday’s Night Out in Wyman tour from our friends at Historic Denver. The evening includes stops at Castle Marne, Flora House, and Feldman Mortuary, with architecture, history, food, and drinks along the way.

The Wyman Neighborhood is the setting for our next progressive tour, we’ll access interiors and enjoy food and drink at Castle Marne, Flora House and the Feldman Mortuary. Taken together theses sites provide an intimate look at the Wyman neighborhood in the early 1900s. As…

Downtown Denver has a bit of whimsy coming this summer!

Large-scale aerial art installations by Poetic Kinetics are planned across downtown through a collaboration between Denver Arts & Venues, the City and County of Denver Government, and others.

Take a look at what’s planned in this article from Mile High CRE:

Thinking about this one as everyone gets back outdoors with their bikes and strollers.

The Downtown Denver Partnership is leading the 5280 Trail, a path that will circle through downtown and connect neighborhoods along the way.

We’re especially looking forward to seeing it pass through our Five Points neighborhood and near some of our projects around the city.

Worth a look if you haven’t seen what’s planned!

The Downtown Denver Partnership is leading efforts to create the 5280 Trail, a bold, visionary project that will transform how the public right-of-way is used in Downtown Denver. The 5280 will link neighborhoods and connect people by reimagining underutilized streets into the essential Downtown expe...
