Wednesday, we meet again!

Doing so many adjustments due to recent storms, we wanted to show you a good example of what an insurance adjuster is looking for in your roof when it comes to hail and wind damage. This photo shows a sample square(100 square feet). An adjuster will look for 6-8 hail bruises or wind damaged shingles, which is considered to be a totaled elevation of the roof. If you aren’t sure you have sustained enough damage to warrant a claim, contact JWR and allow one of our inspectors to run the exact same process as an adjuster and determine if you should file a claim or not!

Wednesday is a good day to talk about venting!

Here is a snap of a ridge vent installed/added by JWR on a property last week. We often get the question, why did my 3 year old roof not stand up to this hail? A lot of it boils down to proper venting! If a roof is not vented and hot and cold air build up in the attic or garage, the shingle can react poorly, and become what we call ‘baked’. When a shingle has not had proper venting below the roof surface, and it is hit with hail, it’s qualities are compromised and it is susceptible to hail damage, no matter the age of the roof! Give us a call to review your roof and it’s venting!

Happy Monday all!! Seems like went from early spring to hot hot heat in just a few days in the Denver metro area!!

Today, we wanted to post quickly about roofing as it relates to a real estate transaction. We work with quite a lot of realtors and mortgage providers as we have an understanding of the urgency when a inspection reveals and poor roofing system that requires replacement. Happy Monday!
📍What’s wrong with this roof?

Sometimes we see things that make us scratch our head... and say WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!! This is one of those cases! The design in this roof is comical! Our first response when asked what we can do here was to tear down the house and rebuild 😂 When re-roofing this, we will need to wrap the head/sidewall with metal to waterproof the area. We may not be able to alleviate the dead spot that puddles, but we CAN waterproof the roof the wall area! At JWR, we are all about finding the most practice solution!

Today we are going to take a second to introduce everyone to the Owner and brains behind .
📍Jamie Williams is a Colorado native and Colorado university Alumni who graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Science! After several years working in corporate America Jamie decided to pursue a different passion which would lead him right into the roofing industry. Jamie is passionate about changing the client roofing company relationship. He wants to make homeowners feel confident in the process of insurance claims and he wants his labor and contractors to feel respected and always taken care of.
When Jamie isn't out running the business he is hanging with his wife and son some where in the Denver metro area.
