We love our office, but it’s unfortunately time for us to move on and pass this space along to someone new.

Our 1,600 SF office suite located in the Alta Court Lofts building in Capitol Hill is now available. The landlord is open to either transferring the existing lease or working with a new tenant on a new lease.

What might be the best part of our Don Pedro Visitor Center when it opens up next year? The View!

We designed the project to frame, then expand your view of the lake below and the Sierra Nevada foothills beyond from the viewing deck and multipurpose room. You can already begin to imagine how this will look as the first floor framing goes in this week!

Excited to share that the Slipping Brick Residence is now in permitting!

Located in Denver's historic Highlands neighborhood, this single-family home reinterprets the masonry logic of the surrounding Victorian brick residences, from arched openings to corbeling to articulated cornices, through a contemporary lens. Custom brickwork coursing "slips" across the façade, with projected curvature, inverted arches and displaced masonry creating moments of tension against an otherwise disciplined geometry.

Working with a 19-foot-wide footprint on a site bounded by the Rocky Mountain Ditch, the design turns constraint into opportunity: living spaces open south to the creek, and the front setback becomes an active outdoor space that engages the street.

We do a lot of work in our own backyard, but one of our biggest projects is coming out of the ground 1,000 miles west of us, in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Foundation walls are almost complete for this new visitor center at the edge Don Pedro Lake, a beloved camping and boating spot which is also one of California’s largest reservoirs.

The visitor center integrates into an existing café building – which is being renovated – with a new view deck allowing visitors to gaze at the lake below and the hills in the distance and hosting social events. We’re excited to share more progress as this project moves toward completion in 2027!

We're thrilled to welcome Dane to the UNUM team as our newest Senior Interior Designer.

Dane brings over a decade of experience leading residential interiors from concept through construction, with a particular focus on space planning, material selection, FF&E, and custom furniture development. His process is collaborative by nature: he works closely with architects, contractors, and vendors to keep every project cohesive from first sketch to final install.

Originally from Virginia and newly based in Denver, Dane's design sensibility balances modern and classic influences, grounded in clean lines, careful detailing, and strong visual composition.

We're glad to have him here.

Nestled in the heart of Paonia, Colorado, this new bookstore + café project celebrates everything that makes the North Fork Valley so special—organic farms, orchards, vineyards, and a vibrant creative community.

When our clients approached us, they saw an opportunity to design not just a café and bookstore, but also a hub for connection. Thoughtfully integrated, the bookstore and café support one another while hosting events from author readings and cider tastings to live local music.

Inspired by the charm of Paonia’s historic downtown, the design draws from traditional architecture while prioritizing function, warmth, and flexibility for community-driven experiences.

We’re honored to be part of this project and can’t wait to see it come to life. Stay tuned for updates as the project unfolds!
