When is the best time to prune your trees..? NOW! During late winter, trees have no leaves so you can easily see the tree's shape and condition.

Pruning during cold winter months lets wounds heal before bugs return, avoiding the spread of diseases they carry—like oak wilt.

Small branches you can reach from the ground are great do-it-yourself projects, but you may want to hire a professional arborist for higher branches and larger limbs.
