Tuesday, the Michigan House passed a bill to expand transit throughout Wayne County. County Executive Warren C. Evans has underscored the pressing need to expand transit access in Wayne County, highlighting that improved transit would significantly boost mobility and opportunities for residents.

Last month, Deputy County Executive Assad I. Turfe testified before the Michigan Local Government and Municipal finance committee in support of House Bill 6088, introduced by Representative Alabas Farhat.

Wayne County aims to be on equal footing with Oakland and Macomb, ensuring all residents have dependable access to transit, an essential driver of economic growth and community well-being.
