Studio Detroit is hiring a Lighting Designer (Full-Time and Onsite)🤩
We’re looking for an architectural lighting designer to join Studio Detroit and help us expand our lighting design capabilities in-house. Someone to help us create a more integrated and intentional design process from concept through specification.💡

Lighting plays a critical role in how architecture is experience, though it is rarely approached through a design thinking lens. We want to challenge this because we believe thoughtful design collaboration leads to the best results for our clients. Our goal is to bring a stronger design driven focus to lighting while working alongside industry partners to deliver creative, high-performing, and competitive solutions.🖊️

Studio Detroit works on projects ranging from large commercial automotive environments to high-end privately owned spaces. We’re looking for someone who understands the impact lighting has on architecture and atmosphere, and who has the entrepreneurial spirit to help grow this into something powerful. ‼️

Coordination is a major part of architecture. It’s not always the prettiest but one of the most important steps. 🙂‍↕️This is a recent set of diagrams we used to effectively display how we wanted the HVAC system to work within the Private Barndo project while it’s in CA! ❤️🧱We want all trades to work seamlessly within the design whenever possible. 🤝

Exciting news for the Waterford community! Bloom General Contracting is proud to partner with Studio Detroit to build the new Joe Lunghamer Chevrolet.

Located on the former Summit Place Mall site, this $20 million investment features a state-of-the-art 70,000-square-foot design. We are set to break ground this summer, bringing a modern glass façade and inviting customer spaces to North Telegraph Road.

We're honored to help build this incredible space for the Lunghamer family and the future of Waterford.

We are proud to be involved in the redevelopment of Summit Place Mall in Waterford Twp that will bring new life into a space that once held so much significance. This is also currently the largest automotive facility we have designed to date. Happy to collaborate with General Motors , Gensler , Joe Lunghamer CHEVROLET , Bloom General Contracting, Inc., Mechanical Electrical Engineering Consultants PC, Nowak and Fraus Engineers, Structural Associates Incorporated, and more to bring this vision to life. Can’t wait for the final result!😁😁😁
