Week 2 of Early Blooms Subscriptions are going out today. Once again, they feature gorgeous, fragrant stock stems (which bloomed basically all at once due to the recent heatwave, so wraps are a bit overstuffed. Luckily I don’t think my subscribers will mind!). 😍

A little bouquet care reminder! 🌸

💦Subscribers: If you haven't changed your vase water since delivery day, now is a great time. The honeywort (foliage) in this week's bouquets is pretty, but it can make vase water cloudy a little faster than some other blooms. A quick rinse of the vase and fresh water today and later in the week will help everything stay happy and looking its best.

🌿 And for anyone hoping to grab flowers this weekend: I think I'll have enough extra stems for a small pop-up at the flower stand on Saturday. I have a small surplus of honeywort, stock, and a few other odds and ends that need a home!

Blooms are coming out of the hoophouse by the handful now! Tomorrow I'll be doing a large harvest for my Early Blooms Subscribers because deliveries begin on Monday. Finally! 🌸

Many of these are new-to-me varieties, so over the past few weeks I've been harvesting stems to test the best cutting stage, storage methods, and vase life. Every flower behaves a little differently, and this process helps me learn how to get the longest-lasting, highest-quality flowers into your hands. To me, it's worth the extra time and effort. ✨Added bonus: my tables and countertops get to be filled with beautiful flowers while I experiment!

I'm excited to finally start sharing the results of all that work with subscribers and, once I have a bit of a surplus, at the flower stand as well.

The last week has been very busy around here!

✔️ Warm annuals planted out 🌱
✔️ Third sunflower succession seeded 🌻
✔️ Dahlias poking through the ground 😍
✔️ Hardy annuals going strong 💪

Things in my mini hoophouse are about to pop offffff, which means Early Blooms Subscriptions are FINALLY starting soon! It’s a couple weeks later than I had hoped for but unfortunately for me, Mother Nature’s the boss and I clearly am not! 🌬️ 💁🏼‍♀️ I can’t wait to be cutting buckets full of blooms again!

Week 4 already! These are the last Tulip Subscription bouquets of the season. 🌷

I think this week’s mix is giving sherbet vibes with warm peaches and apricot tones, soft yellows, and a few brighter pops mixed in.
💛🧡🩷

P.S. I’ll be pulling any remaining tulips from the stand shortly. I don’t want the afternoon sun to hit them and blow them open since that’ll significantly reduce vase life. If you miss them at the stand, shoot me a message and I’ll set some aside for you!
