When a job has a great layout and a rock-solid plan, it’s all about ex*****on. For this project, the goal was simple: get in, bring the A-game, and get it done right.

We laid down a gorgeous Opa Locka stamped pattern using a sharp, modern color palette of pewter and medium gray. It completely transforms the space while keeping that clean, timeless look that matches any backyard style.

No fuss, no mess—just a hardworking crew doing what they do best and delivering a beautiful, durable finish.

What's next? The concrete is in, and yard restoration is coming up next to put the perfect finishing touches on the surrounding landscape and wrap this project up completely!

🧺 Concrete Sealing or Romantic Getaway? You Decide. 🧺

According to the Facebook content planner, today is apparently International Picnic Day. (Seriously, who comes up with these?)

As you can see, Dan and Patti took this "special holiday" entirely too literally. We were supposed to be systematically sealing this beautiful patio today. Instead, the boss-couple decided to spread out a blanket right in the middle of the workspace for a little lovey-dovey lunch date.

They say working together as a married couple strengthens your bond, but we’re pretty sure it just gives them an excuse to turn a construction zone into a romantic picnic spot! At least they brought juice and sandwiches to go with all those buckets of sealer.

Back to work, you two! That concrete isn't going to seal itself.

We told Dan to pose for a quick Flag Day picture, and he went full “The Patriot” on us. Look at him up there, channeling his inner Mel Gibson, holding the Dan-Tam banner like he just single-handedly defended a patio from the Redcoats.

True leadership means never asking your crew to do something you wouldn't do yourself. Following the hottest week of the year, our seasoned 40-year veteran stepped right up to handle the final saw cuts, power wash, and seal of the week so his guys could take a well-deserved breather. Why do we cut into brand new concrete?
We get asked this a lot! Control joints are essentially intentional, straight lines we cut into the patio to give the concrete a designated place to naturally expand and contract. By placing these joints precisely within the design, we control exactly where it relieves pressure, preventing random, unsightly cracks from ruining the pattern down the road.

The Magic of the First Seal ✨
There is nothing quite like watching freshly cured concrete get its first coat of sealer. Because the slab is brand new, it eagerly soaks up the seal, which deeply penetrates the surface to lock in, enrich, and dramatically enhance the custom color selections. It brings out all those beautiful antiquing tones and gives the patio that rich, high-end finish.
