Potter Park Zoo is running an awesome program this year - their Habitat Hero Program - which will include many giveaways of native plants from our nursery throughout the summer. Be on the lookout for these events where you can pick up one of our plants and learn more about improving local habitat at your own home.

Big kudos to the zoo for running this educational effort!

What does it mean to be a Habitat Hero? 🌿

At Potter Park Zoo, it means taking action to support Michigan wildlife through education, awareness, and habitat restoration.

Our new Habitat Hero program helps community members create wildlife-friendly spaces by planting native species that provide critical resources for pollinators, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and other native animals.

From native plant giveaways to community conservation efforts, Habitat Hero is about showing that conservation doesn't just happen in wild places, it can start in your own backyard.

This Saturday we will be holding sales in Mid Michigan and West Michigan.

For our West Michigan friends, come find us at the Grandville Native Plant Sale & Expo! This is our second year attending this event and we are excited to bring back our plants this year. You can find us in the amphitheater at the East end of the library.

We are excited to say that we still have plenty of native plants left and even more excited to say we will be bringing lots of them to 2026 Native Plant Expo & Marketplace this Saturday! We will be bringing around 120 species to offer - our largest off farm offering so far. Come find us in Shed F right by the Milkweed Giveaway.

This event is a big one. And we are bringing a truck full of plants to fit the occasion. Come find us!
