Ardsley are seeking volunteers to join the public pollinator garden maintenance team for 2026! June - October.

We have beautiful pollinator gardens at AFV Park (on the Ardsley border), Hart's Brook Park and Preserve (Hartsdale - close to Ardsley) and at the Ardsley Public Library. Each year we have an amazing team of volunteers who water the gardens when needed and perform occasional weeding. Most volunteers are 'on duty' for only 3 weeks throughout the growing season. We work with your schedule. So if you love native plants, want to see them performing in the garden, wish to meet other native gardeners, and enjoy being in some beautiful locations please join us! No prior experience necessary - training provided for newbies.

Click here to register and thank you!!

Building our 2026 maintenance team to keep our pollinator demonstration gardens beautiful and inspiring!

I have an abundance of Helenium, also known as Sneezeweed. It prefers sun and you would have to water it for a week after planting, but the deer do not seem to like it. Please note, that it spreads agressively in year two.
