Another vintage find, but this time, at my house.
This is a Stanley level made out of mahogany built between 1867-1869.
All of the hardware is solid brass.

The things you find when remodeling in an old house from 1940's.
The ironic thing about the slip of paper is that I am not working at that address, but I am not far from there. Curiosity got the best of me and I googled that address. That house was built in 1880!
The stamps are of King George VI.
All items were found behind trim. Goes to show what can slip between the cracks in your house over the years.

I have mudded lots of jobs, but mudding a whole house was a first for me.
