Started summer installs yesterday! Summer is sometimes tough because plants can be on the smaller side going in, but give them a few weeks and they are exploding with color and texture! Looking forward to bringing summer plants to all of my clients over the next month and a half 🥹.
Also wanted to take a second to thank all of my clients who, season after season, continue to choose me to do their containers 💚 I truly love and appreciate you all!

So many spring planters were installed this week 🥹💚 I just love them all. Spring is the time of year where literally every single flower opening up brings me insurmountable joy. I hope you can also find the magic in all the beauty that returns after winter ✨

More spring beauty 🤩 possibly past the bitter cold? But already onto hot? Either way. Keep up with watering your spring planters. They typically don’t need as much water as summer pots, but healthy well cared for spring plants will do better in whatever spring throws our way. If you aren’t keeping up with watering this high heat will fry them, but really the same for super cold… I’ve left out pansies as an experiment one year. 1 flat was very dry, one was well watered. The watered one survived low 20s the dry one didn’t. 😊 I experiment so you don’t have to!

Hit the ground running this week, and I’ll be working nonstop for the next several weeks to get everything done 💚 when I’m not on job sites I’m pulling plant combos, watering, unloading empty pots and reloading my van for the next day, and taking care of the plants (deadheading helps promote more flowers!). I love this season so much! The dried evergreens coming out still smell good, and the pansies going in make me smile pretty much every time. Oh and seriously, if you’re not stopping to smell the sweet alyssum every time you pick it up (for me multiple times a day) are you even enjoying spring?

Hello spring, I’ve waited all winter for you! By far my favorite season, and I will finally be out planting today 💚 there’s been years when I’ve been able to start planting for spring at the end of February without too much concern… but not this year. I’ve delayed my normal start date by about a week due to the temps being in teens at night just a few days ago. But here we are! Finally planting time! And my biggest spring season on the books yet!! I can’t wait to bring flowers to you all over the next few weeks 💚 Happy first day of spring 🥹💚

Don’t have planters? No problem. I spent most of yesterday sourcing containers for existing and new clients. Whether you have zero containers, or are just looking to supplement your collection I can help! I love bringing your vision to life 💚

It’s hard to make posts about pretty flowers while it feels like the world is burning, but at the heart of The Gardeness, I started the business to spread joy through plants. Flowers and being outside in nature certainly brings me a lot of joy. Hopefully posting pictures of beautiful plants still brings happiness and inspiration for others. I hope that seeing gorgeous flowers helps bring at least one person the inspiration they need to get outside and start their own garden! Being in nature helps you to come back to center. To feel more calm and grounded… and really we all need that right now. So go outside. Breathe deeply. And reset your mind so it can focus on the important things!

With spring just a smidge over 3 weeks away, and finally some warmer weather in the forecast, I decided it’s time to come out of winter hibernation! While it’s nice to get a winter break, I normally use it to create new flower beds to be planted in spring, get an early start on prepping my raised beds, and an early start on mulching. This winter had other plans for me though, and because of the pretty much constant snow cover and extreme cold, none of that got done 🥲. Really looking forward to warmer days and all the gardening it will bring! Who else is ready to get their hands dirty?
