This house was built in the late 1950's and other then necessary upgrades like windows and doors, the house was remained largely untouched.
Our client was born in the house and lived there until she married and had a family of her own.
The house, built by her dad, was left to her after her parents passing. Seizing an opportunity, she utilized it as a rental for the last 20 years.
In 2025, she asked To-Do-List-Handyman to renovate the interior of the house to bring it back to the former glory that she remembered.
Other then necessary repairs and upgrades, we tried to maintain the 1950's look and feel of the house, especially the vintage look of the kitchen, which was in amazing condition overall.
The rooms were painted using neutral colors, the varnish on the trim was rejuvenated and the floors were sanded, stained and sealed. New floors were installed in the kitchen and first floor bathroom due to necessary sub-floor repairs.
Updates to some of the plumbing and electric were necessary to maintain service and safety of the building though by enlarge, the house still looks as it did 60+ years ago.
Thanks to Langan’s Plumbing Services LLC for assisting with plumbing on this project!
