Hey friend,
As temperatures climb, most of us know we need to drink more water.
But here's something many people don't realize:
Water alone isn't always enough.
When we sweat, we don't just lose water—we also lose important minerals called electrolytes, including:
• Sodium
• Potassium
• Magnesium
These minerals help regulate hydration, muscle function, energy levels, and even how well your nervous system works.
That's why sometimes you can drink plenty of water and still feel:
☀️ Fatigued
☀️ Headachy
☀️ Dizzy
☀️ Low energy
Personally, when I'm out at festivals and farmers markets all day in the summer heat, one of my favorite tools is LMNT electrolyte packets (not a sponsor, just something I genuinely enjoy).
They contain sodium, potassium, and magnesium in a ratio that works really well for me. They're a little salty, so I usually mix one packet into about 32 ounces of water, and it helps me stay hydrated during those long days outside.
Of course, there are plenty of ways to replenish electrolytes. The important thing is simply remembering that hydration is about more than water alone.
As we head into the hottest part of the year:
💧 Drink plenty of water
🥬 Eat nutrient-dense foods
🍌 Include potassium-rich fruits and vegetables
🧂 Replenish the minerals you lose through sweat
A little prevention goes a long way.
Stay safe, stay hydrated, and enjoy your summer.
