I have been silent this week because honestly it’s been super underwhelming. Our shipment got held up way passed the delivery date and by the time everything had been cleared the plants were pretty much dead. My business took a huge loss and my suppliers business took a huge loss as well. We are still working with the shipping company and there is a claim process going so hopefully we can be recoup some of the loss. But as for now the supplier is trying to get a shipment together to send again. It will be at least another week before we get tracking. This may be the last attempt on both of our ends before we decide to go another route. In the pre shipment process the plants are sent to a lab to be examined and then are sent off to be quarantined for 1 week. Once the plant has finished it’s time in quarantine it is packed in moss and shipped directly to customs where they are also examined and tested for pest and diseases. Once that process is complete the plants are SUPPOSED to be delivered.

We want to stick with this supplier for a few reasons, we have had the best experiences with him on a personal level. He isn’t in the business to make big money, he and his village are truly connected to plant life and wants to share it with others around the world. He is super on board with giving us the best imports for a pretty great price, allowing me to give you guys some of the prettiest and most unique plants for a price you can’t beat at any other small plant shop.

I’m asking for a bit of patience as this launch is taking longer than we had expected. We did a soft launch with a few items that I had already, from very successful propagations. So there isn’t much to choose from but we are working on it everyday.

All this to say, I’m not done. I haven’t given up. This is just the beginning for us.
