Here's a big project from the entire month of October. We'll call it a "retail refresh." This storefront had been empty for several years and needed some work to be usable again. I removed over 300 fasteners from the wall, repaired a lot of drywall damage, primed and painted about 2500 square feet of wall, replaced over two dozen ceiling tiles, and removed some dangerous wiring (live wires shouldn't dangle from your ceilings or walls). Unfortunately, the space didn't have a working mop sink so I couldn't clean the floors to make it 100%.

Another small project from six weeks ago or so. Stripping, priming, and repainting a couple metal doors. It took several flap wheels on the grinder to remove all that old paint, but looks quite nice in the end.

One of my recent projects was fixing up the front of a local business. Repaired some wood rot, cleaned out the gutters, primed and painted, reinstalled some missing siding, and rehung a new sign/banner.

Yes, I'm still active and working. Just nothing photogenic recently. Metal siding repair, resetting brick pavers, plumbing repairs, etc.

One of my recent projects was a bathroom renovation. Tearing out an old shower enclosure, sink, and exhaust fan and replacing with tile, vanity, and new fan.
The previous owner left the customers with a bit of a mess behind the shower walls. Glue used as gap filler and caulking led to the plastic enclosure failing at the corners. Exterior foam sheathing used instead of a waterproofing layer. Finish nails used to secure framing.
Turned out looking pretty nice in the end. The tub was later reglazed white (not by me).

I recently finished a bathroom repair. Definitely my most challenging job so far. The customers had a pipe burst during one of those subzero cold snaps we had.
A plumber fixed the pipe, and then a moisture mitigation company came in and cut out the bottom two feet of drywall and insulation. They also smashed out about 40-50% of the small format tile floor.
I came in to replace the drywall and insulation, prime, put down new vinyl plank flooring, and reinstall the toilet.
There was rotted subfloor around the toilet fl**ge to replace, laundry plumbing outside the walls to work around, and all that tile and thinset to remove. The tile was well installed, so scraping under it wasn't an option. I ended up hand chiseling it all, then using a thinset grinding head on an oscillating tool to get back to clean subfloor. With kids and pets in the house and the need to use the room each night, I couldn't use an angle grinder due to the dust and potential damage to the subfloor.
It's an old house, so there was also self leveling compound around the perimeter, nicely reinforced with galvanized steel mesh. The mitigation company had obliterated half of that, so there wasn't any way to save it.
It was tough work, but it came out looking pretty good in the end.

I've been working on some simple pullout drawers for the Tupperware cabinet. They're not a final product, so no paint, but now we don't have to give up and throw it all in a big pile.

Looks good in the end though, after putting down vinyl plank.

I always seem to forget to take before and after photos of my work. Always too focused on getting to work, I guess.
Lately I've been removing old cast iron pipe, building window sills, repairing ceiling fans, and restaining a deck.
