Thank you Billy Parton's Training Center LLC for horse manure! Chive flowers (about to go salad), in greenhouse, super-hot chilies—many specially bred by Peter Merle in the Canary Islands, regular hot chilies (jalapeño, my DaveO Peach, Yellow and Red, Dátil to Serrano), sweet orange, green, yellow bell, scotch bonnets from Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Portland, Jamaica, the Beth Boyd Bonnet (Texas—in her memory, sweet big MOA—Jamaican Ministry of Agriculture—thanks to Steve Queen for getting these seeds to me), by the Grace of God, I know Chili Growers around the world, we share seeds, thanks to Stefen Zoerlinski in the Netherlands for the Scotch Brain Strain. In tomatoes, we have Big Beef+, Lenon Boy+, Chef’s Choice Pink, Purple, Black and Orange, Purple Boy, Cherokee Carbon, German Johnson and Kelloggs Breakfast, and from Hoss Tools, determinate tomatoes—Roadster, Summer Pick, Hossinator, Red Snapper, Celebrity Plus. From NE Seed, LOTS of Mountain Pride. Herbs and flowers: Purple Echinacea, Black-Eyed Susan, Coreopsis, Butterfly Milkweed, Swamp Milkweed, Cardinal Flower, Annie Hyssop, Golden Alexander’s (winter sown), for Joan Powell Memorial Garden out front, Dianthus, Snapdragons, Coreposis, Million Bells—have to buy some Red and White Begonias for her hanging baskets, which will become mine, when I leave. Cukes, Zucchini, Yellow summer squash, Holy Basil to plant with tomatoes, “Basilica” of all flavors, dill, thyme, parsley, sage, and marigolds, zinnia, sunflowers under lights. Winter squashes, watermelon—Crimson Sweet and my “baby” Blacktail Mountain. Jambalaya Okra seed, and we gotta get to Gragg’s for sweet corn seed, corn starter fertilizer, and bean seed. 3 garden plots. Tammy Mckay. DM/Message me if you’d like plants. 104 Reece Rd. Drexel, NC 28619. E. Ann Powell

New greenhouse up! Ready to rock some chili plants, first April! Thank you SO much, Tammy Mckay and Craig McKay! It was sweltering yesterday, whew but I’m not sore this morning! Again, thank you so much—the best gift anybody can give is of themselves (and cinderblock and going all the way with the shelving, leveling!). E. Ann Powell

Need to get at least one greenhouse up in order to seed scallion seeds on way from Eden Brothers, ordered an ounce—good to go between tomatoes, along with Mission Giant marigolds, Hawaiian African marigolds, French marigolds, zinnias, ageratum, milkweed, alyssum, sunflowers OF A GAZILLION varieties— Broage, Camomile seeds, Purple Echinacea, Black Eyed Susan seed, dianthus, Shasta daisy seed, Bee balm, Bergamot—pollinators! What I learned from Mawmaw Brown Megan Dellinger Beeson—all gardens need POLLINATORS! Right, Kathy Rockett Smith!

Got seeds in for Jambalaya Okra, today from HOSS, about overall 1000 superhot chili seeds. To my surprise, one of my Hell Tabs is popping—extraordinarily longer hotter Tabasco crossed for 6 years with Reaper.
