Premium Pricing Does NOT Guarantee Premium Work.
Homeowners deserve to know there are other options.
A lot of people walk into a flooring retailer, pick a product, pay a premium price, and assume that means a premium installer is coming to their house.
Sometimes that happens.
Sometimes it doesn’t.
You may get the best crew in the network.
You may get an average crew.
You may get whoever was available that day.
That is why I think more homeowners should consider working directly with a licensed flooring contractor who actually understands the installation, the manufacturer requirements, the industry standards, the prep, the moisture, the layout, and the craftsmanship behind the finished floor.
Good flooring is not cheap.
Good labor is not cheap.
Good preparation is not cheap.
But there is a big difference between paying a fair price for quality work, transparency, and accountability and paying premium pricing without knowing who is actually going to install your floor.
A good contractor can help you:
find quality material at a fair price,
understand exactly what your floor needs,
avoid unnecessary costs,
and make sure the person selling the job actually understands the work being performed.
You should absolutely get what you pay for.
But paying more does not automatically mean getting more.
Quality work does not have to mean inflated pricing.
And premium pricing does not guarantee premium craftsmanship.
Do your homework. Ask questions. Talk to the person who will actually be responsible for your floor.
