After arriving here 4 1/2 years ago from Mississippi, I was pleased to discover that Dahlia's grow fairly well here. After doing a bit of research, I realized that they would benefit greatly from a trellis, but I honestly didn't feel like building any that I had seen online.

But then I have this old metal frame that with a built-in platform for the mattress made of metal and decided to get a little creative.

We now have a beautiful garden bed with built in trellis that will last for many years displaying a combination of beautiful dahlias sourced from Kaolin flowers and farm and some of my favorite gladiolus. Even after my gladiolus blooms fad, they can easily be trimmed back as the dahlias continue to put on a show through the autumn.

Remember, gardening doesn't have to be expensive. Do what you can with what you have. 🌺

Over the past several months, we’ve been working with another local flower grower who shares our passion for sustainable agriculture, supporting local communities, and bringing beauty into everyday life. Together, we’re excited to launch our new partnership in stages by first offering bouquets created with some of the latest, most sought after dahlia cultivars grown right in Tennille at Kaolin flowers and farm.

Unlike flowers that travel hundreds or even thousands of miles before reaching a vase, her bouquets are harvested fresh and arranged with the best blooms the season has to offer.

🌿 Locally grown
🌿 Freshly harvested
🌿 Seasonal and unique
🌿 Available for pickup or delivery

And this is just the beginning! We’re starting with handcrafted bouquets and hope to expand into special event florals, curated arrangements, and more in the future as we work out the details.

Stay tuned for our first bouquet drop and ordering details coming soon!

Thank you for continuing to support local farmers, local growers, and small businesses. Every purchase helps strengthen our local economy and supports those who are good stewards of the land.
