We’re excited to share some big news at Architecture Advantage! Kane Tewes has stepped into a new role as Principal, expanding ownership and marking an exciting chapter of shared leadership for our firm.

Since joining us in 2015, Kane has been a driving force behind our growth, culture, and client relationships. He brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to every project that is grounded in trust, collaboration, and a deep understanding of our clients’ goals. As we grow, we remain proudly woman-owned, continuing our commitment to diverse leadership, and Kane’s transition into ownership reflects what we value most: growing from within and investing in leaders who care deeply about our people, our clients, and the communities we serve.

Happy WIC Week! The women of Architecture Advantage gathered in our Duluth office to virtually tune into the joint SMPS - Twin Cities + NAWIC - Minneapolis/St Paul Chapter event, Building Internal Culture: Bridging the Gap Between Messaging and Reality, and we continued the conversation over lunch at At Sara's Table Chester Creek Cafe — a fellow woman-owned business. During our time together, we reflected on the culture of the A/E/C industry, the experiences women bring to these spaces, and the small actions that can add up to meaningful change.

While we were missing a few, we’re grateful for the incredible women across our firm who continue to show up, support one another, and help shape a more inclusive future for our industry.

Two days away from the day-to-day, and the perspective gained was worth every moment. Our leadership team wrapped up their annual EOS session feeling grounded, aligned, and clear on what’s ahead.

They took time to look honestly at the past year, reconnect around our shared vision, and make sure our goals are not just aspirational, but truly actionable. These intentional pauses matter and the clarity coming out of the session sets the tone for the year to come. Grateful for the conversations, the commitment, and the people around the table doing the work together.

Holiday cheer, Duluth style! We closed out last week at Boat Club Restaurant and Bar celebrating the holiday season with our incredible team and their families—good food, great drinks, festive games, and a photobooth that was truly sleighin’ it. Grateful for this crew and the moments that make the season extra special 🎄

Big progress at Central Lakes College! Furniture is being installed, finishes are coming together, and this student-centered space is coming to life. We “broke wall” on the Student Services renovation back in February, and now we’re just about a month away from welcoming students and staff into the 45,000 SF hub. Watching this fully reimagined space come to life has been exciting, and we can’t wait to see the campus community make it their own!

Happy Thanksgiving! This season has us feeling extra thankful. From celebrating our 20th anniversary, to working on and completing exciting projects, and appreciating the people who make it all possible. We’re especially grateful for our dedicated team, our trusted consultants, and the clients who continue to put their confidence in us. Thank you for being part of our story today and every day.
