I’ll be teaching Masonry Heater Building at North House Folk School in Grand Marais, MN—and during this hands-on weekend we’ll build a classic high-thermal-mass masonry heater (with firebrick and clay), learn best practices, and dive deep into what makes masonry heaters such an efficient, comfortable heating system.
In this course we’ll cover:

* Firebrick & clay construction methods
* Door & hardware installation
* Code considerations and tool use
* Oven integration and finish options (clay plaster/stucco)
