The deck framing is complete! 🏗️ The next step is installing the decking boards, followed shortly by the handrails.

What are your deck board options?

Homeowners can choose from several materials, including:

1) Pressure-treated wood – Affordable and traditional, but requires regular maintenance.
2) Cedar or redwood – Natural beauty and good resistance to decay, but requires maintenance.
3) Composite decking such as Trek – Low maintenance, durable, and available in many colors and styles.
4) PVC decking – Highly resistant to moisture and easy to maintain.

For this project, the homeowner chose Trex decking and handrails for a durable, low-maintenance outdoor living space. They are excited as shown in picture.

Ponce Design Build: Peachtree Corners Deck Project – Jobsite Update 🏗️

The concrete, footings, retaining wall, and drainage work are complete, and now we’ve started the deck framing!

How is a deck framed?

Deck framing creates the structural foundation that supports the decking boards. Our team installs the ledger, beams, joists, and support posts, carefully spacing and securing each component to create a strong, level, and durable structure.

What’s next?

Once the framing is complete, we’ll install the decking boards, followed shortly by the handrails and other finishing details.

We’re getting closer to bringing this outdoor living space to life!
