It's interesting how modern society functions in regards to social media. If you aren't posting new content, apparently you aren't in business anymore. If you don't make stories or reels you aren't relevant. There was a time when I cared about such things, but not anymore. I'm still building and staying busy. The gram just doesn't spark my interest like it used to. Nonetheless, here's a sneak peek at some upcoming projects. The first is a reimagining of the great Zyl Vardos "Dewdrop" design. Abel isn't building tiny houses anymore, but there are people who really admire his work and wish he was! Enter a builder such as myself who has the ability and willingness to recreate such an iconic functional piece of art. I reached out to Abel for his blessing and tips to make the build go smoother. He graciously obliged-thanks Abel!! The second rendering will be a well appointed 10x40 Colorado certified tiny home destined for La Plata county. I am really excited to bring these projects into fruition. There's a few more in the build queue after these. Stay tuned!

It's been a busy summer, and fall is promising to be even busier! Shuttled up to Olathe today to grab the next three trailers. Lovely day for a drive across the mountains.

Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses is proud to present the first tiny home to be certified by the State of Colorado, the Bondad model. Designed, built, and to be sited in Bondad, Colorado. (For those not familiar, Bondad is just a little map dot 15 minutes south of Durango) It was quite the process getting setup as a manufacturer, pushing plans through plan review, tailoring our build process to be in compliance, passing inspections, and earning that state insignia after all was said and done. I've learned a lot, and can utilize this experience in future certified builds, but there are still hurdles to clear and kinks to iron out. For now, we catch our breath and celebrate!! Absolutely beautiful day for a drive across the Navajo Nation. I don't do it often, but once in a while I'll do a delivery for someone else. My friends at referred me to some folks who needed this very nice 8x24 moved from Flagstaff to Durango since they weren't in this part of the county right now. I was happy to help. This tiny was built back in 2016 by up in New York. It's very well done and pulled extremely well. Chapeau fellows!

Exciting news from Denver today! Our application to become a Colorado certified Tiny Home Builder was approved!!! We've already got 3 builds lined up in 2025 for state cert. Let the building commence!

Hello all you tiny house loving fanatics! It has been a while since I've posted, I know. And in springing back to life, I've chosen one of the most boring images ever, I know. However, it is one of the most profound images I have shared because today I submitted the application to the state of Colorado to become a registered Tiny Home Manufacturer. It's been a long , tedious process, far from over I might add, but the wheels are in motion. RMTH is fully committed to providing the absolute highest quality state inspected, state approved tiny homes for discerning residents of the Centennial state. Many builders chose to shut down. Many chose to simply not participate in the state program, thinking NOAH or RVIA would be suitable as alternatives. Let me tell you, Such "certifications" don't hold a candle to the state program! As the longest running builder in the state, we're still standing and have lots of builds booked this year! Stay tuned for updates!

Queue up the highway song. This will be the last time I move this beautiful creation. We sold it to a cool family in California. Bittersweet saying goodbye, but it's legacy shall live on!!! It served Stephanie and I very well, thank you San Juan!!!

We're really excited about the next build in progress! This little 8x16 with a custom bump out will be used as a mobile Pilates studio. We worked closely with the customer to ensure all the Pilates equipment fit comfortably, while keeping the trailer short so it's easier to tote around, especially since this unit is heading to the East Coast. The front bump out will house a small shower for patients to use if necessary. The unit will have freshwater and grey water tanks, as well as an Eco flow solar system. Stay tuned!
