🌿 Plant of the Week: Purple Rockrose 🌿
These beautiful rounded evergreen broadleaf shrubs are blooming right now at the nursery! We currently have 5 varieties in stock, including this striking Purple Rockrose.

This variety forms a tidy mound 2 to 4 feet tall and wide, covered in eye-catching purple-pink flowers with a crimson spot at the base.

People love adding Rockroses to their landscapes because:
✨They are extremely drought-tolerant and low-maintenance once established — perfect for water-wise gardens and hot, dry summers with minimal watering or fuss.
✨Their dense, spreading habit makes them excellent for erosion control on slopes, banks, and tricky areas where other plants struggle.

Varieties we carry:
~Crimson Spot Rockrose
~White Rockrose
~Pink Rockrose
~Purple Rockrose
~Little Miss Sunshine

Stop by the nursery soon to see them in bloom and find which one is the perfect fit for your yard! Our team is happy to help with placement tips. 🌸

🌿 What a fantastic day for the gardening community!
We had such a wonderful time seeing the various “crawler” groups, families, and friends out enjoying the Local Nursery Crawl. It’s always the perfect excuse to discover a new local nursery — and we loved hearing from so many of you who said you’d never been to ours before, even after all these years in business!

A big thank you to all the vendors who joined us and made the day extra special.

We’re already looking forward to the next Spring event! See you then! 🌱

Plant of the Week: Kwanzan Flowering Cherry 🌸

This breathtaking deciduous tree is exploding with color right now! The Kwanzan Flowering Cherry (Prunus serrulata ‘Kwanzan’) is famous for its massive clusters of double, deep-pink blossoms that look like fluffy pom-poms. Each flower can have 20–30 petals, creating one of the showiest spring displays among flowering cherries.

It typically grows 20–30 feet tall and spreads 15–30 feet wide, forming a beautiful vase-shaped canopy with stiffly ascending branches.

People absolutely love these in the landscape for good reason:
✨Spectacular spring wow-factor — The profuse double-pink blooms create a cloud of vibrant color that turns your yard into a neighborhood highlight.
✨Low-mess elegance with year-round interest. This tree is sterile and produces no messy fruit, so you get all the beauty without the cleanup. It offers graceful structure in summer, stunning fall color, and a clean winter silhouette—plus it attracts pollinators while being relatively easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soil.

A fantastic specimen tree, focal point near a patio, or street tree that brings instant curb appeal and joy every spring! Have you seen these blooming in your area yet? 😍

🌳 Plant of the Week: Lavender Twist Redbud 🌳

These unique flowering ornamental tree/shrubs are certainly having beautiful blooms this early Spring. This newer weeping form of redbud is sensational while blooming and interesting during winter with its twisted weeping branches.

They can be 6 to 8 ft tall. They are winter hardy and love full sun or partial shade.

People may be drawn towards these eye catchers because:
✨Their stunning weeping and contorted branches create a dramatic, sculptural focal point in small gardens, patios, or landscapes year-round—offering graceful elegance even in winter when the bare, twisted form stands out beautifully.
✨They are low-maintenance and wildlife-friendly, attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds with early spring blooms while being deer-resistant, tolerant of various soils, with minimal care once established.

What a perfect compact showstopper for any yard! Have you planted one yet? 🌸
