Tomorrow night, your garage turns into a spooky staging area: candy bowl, decorations, folding chairs, fire pit, and a clear spot for everyone to drop their pillowcases on the way in. 🎃

It only works if the garage isn't already packed full. Overhead racks and closed cabinets keep everyday gear up and out of the way, which leaves plenty of floor space for the nights you actually want to use it.

When prime shoe storage runs out, the overflow ends up by the front door, in the mudroom, or in a heap at the bottom of the closet. This is usually a sign that too many seasons are competing for the same space. 🥾

Our new article covers how to sort shoes by season and how often you wear them, how to prep a pair before storing it, and the different types of shoe storage our designers can build into your closet, depending on what will work best for your space.

Read the full guide to seasonal shoe storage below, then stop into our Durham showroom to see your options.

Funny thing happens when you get a brand-new garage floor… suddenly you don’t want to put all your junk — we mean belongings — back on it. 😏

That’s where Inspired Closets comes in.

Our sister company, DB Concrete Coatings, can completely transform a garage floor, and Inspired Closets can finish the job with custom cabinetry and storage designed to get everything organized, off the floor, and out of sight.

It’s one of the things we love about being part of the DiStefano Brothers family of companies. Our services complement each other tremendously, giving homeowners the opportunity to transform an entire space — not just one piece of it.

New floor. New storage. A garage you might actually want to keep clean.

Do you know that sound when something topples to the floor every time you open the garage door too fast? Are you able to tell exactly which corner it came from without even looking? That means it's time for a garage upgrade.

The good news is, you don't need a bigger garage. Odds are you have storage space that’s not getting used on the walls and overhead, and that's where our designers put the things you're currently stacking on the floor. Everything gets a designated spot based on how often you reach for it.

Your kid can reach the snack bin without asking for your help. 🥨 Your spouse puts the groceries away in the right spots without checking with you first. 🙌 Nobody texts you from the kitchen to ask where the olive oil is. 🫒

That's what happens when a pantry is designed around how your family uses it, not just how much it holds. Our designers figure out what belongs at kid height, what needs a drawer instead of a shelf, and what you reach for daily versus what you only need for special occasions.

Stop into our Durham showroom or head to our website to see what's possible for your pantry: https://bit.ly/3Ttk4zu

Every October, the costume bin comes out of a closet that’s already full. Then, at the end of the season, it's a mystery how there's no room for any of it to go back in. 👻

Seasonal items need shelf space of their own. High shelving, labeled bins, and storage you aren't borrowing from your coats keep Halloween contained so you can easily transition right into Thanksgiving sweaters and holiday party outfits.

Let's find room for the seasonal stuff in your closet. Visit our Durham showroom or our website to get started: https://bit.ly/4hQaNLk

This time of the year, it’s dark when you leave for school drop-off and dark again by the time you need to squeeze in some evening yard work. Like most homes, if you only have one overhead bulb in your garage, you've probably noticed how little it helps.

Our latest article walks through how much light a garage really needs, where to add it, and how our designers build lighting into cabinets and shelving so you can always see what you're reaching for. 💡

Read the full guide to garage lighting:

Learn how lighting, or a lack there-of, impacts your garage, and how the right lighting will make it a more functional, stress-free space.

Cool weather means baking season, and baking season means your kitchen is about to see a lot more traffic. 🥧

Right now your flour, sugar, and sprinkles are spread across three different cabinets, which turns every recipe into a scavenger hunt before the oven is even preheated. A dedicated baking zone keeps ingredients, mixing bowls, and sheet pans together in one spot, and our designers plan the space around what you actually own and bake.

Let's talk about your pantry before holiday baking ramps up: https://bit.ly/4iU1zPi

Every custom closet starts in your home, with a conversation and an expert eye. Our designers want to see your space exactly as it is right now, overstuffed shelves and all.

From there, we work out what you need your closet to do and create custom designs around those specifications. Having us out doesn't commit you to anything, so you can take your time with the design options, visit our showroom, and ask all the questions.

Head to our website to get a feel for how our process works: https://bit.ly/4ykFy0P
