🥕 What do we do?
At Backyard Roots, we specialize in creating backyard raised beds for cultivating homegrown vegetables and edible plants. Our offerings include comprehensive garden kits for DIY planting, as well as professional full-service garden installation, maintenance, and coaching. Our goal is to help you achieve a thriving and sustainable garden.
Our garden kits come complete with everything you need to start growing fresh veggies. You can choose to receive the kits for DIY set-up or opt for professional installation. The DIY set-up is designed for those who wish to actively participate in the set-up and planting of a raised bed garden. It includes an assembled bed along with planting instructions for the included plants. If the laborious, hands-on approach isn’t for you, our crew is happy to handle the professional installation so you don’t have to.
🌱 What’s in a kit?
Our basic kits include locally milled raised beds, premium soil selection, and plants/seeds suited to your space and preferences. For those looking for additional features, our deluxe packages also include trellis supports and drip irrigation lines. We offer beds in various sizes to accommodate your space and budget, ranging from small patio herb and salad gardens to expansive produce plots.
👩🌾 How does it work?
We’ll start with a consultation. We collaborate with you directly to curate a garden specific to you. Together, we select plant varieties that not only meet your requirements but also promote healthy pollinator habitats. Depending on your installation preference, the kits will be either delivered to your specified location or fully installed. From there, we provide ongoing maintenance and coaching to support your gardening needs.
