Restoration complete at Cooperative Farmers Elevator - and it looks great.

TMI Coatings handled the full scope on this one: exterior concrete restoration, a full waterproof coating system across the tower, and the new large-format CFE logo application on the tower face.

A grain elevator this size takes years of weather and freeze-thaw cycling. Getting the concrete properly restored before the waterproof coating goes on is what protects the structure long-term - not just makes it look good. The coating has to keep moisture out through Minnesota winters and summer heat cycles alike.

The new CFE branding on the tower face is the finishing touch - visible from the road, representing the co-op and the community it serves.

40+ years of this kind of work. Concrete restoration, waterproof coatings, logo application - TMI handles it all so co-ops and grain handlers don't have to coordinate multiple contractors.

Cooling tower repaint complete at one of Iowa's largest industrial and medical gas producers.

The scope covered the full structural steel framework of this cooling tower; framing, platforms, handrails, ladders, and equipment supports. Safety yellow on all the safety-critical components, high-performance coating system on the structural steel throughout.

Cooling towers are a tough environment for coatings. Constant moisture, temperature cycling, and chemical exposure from the process side accelerate corrosion faster than most people realize. Staying ahead of it with a proper coating system is far less expensive than dealing with structural corrosion after the fact.

Work was completed safely in an active industrial gas production facility - coordinating around live process equipment and maintaining a clean, safe work area throughout.

TMI Coatings works with chemical and industrial facilities across the country on structural steel, process equipment, and infrastructure coatings. Have a cooling tower or process structure that needs attention? Visit tmicoatings.com or send us a message.

Silo painting complete at Bongards Creamery in northwest Minnesota.

Three milk silos, freshly coated and back in service. Bongards has been a cornerstone of dairy farming in the Midwest for over 100 years. It's a privilege to work on their facilities.

Exterior silo coating at a dairy processing operation isn't just about aesthetics. The coating has to perform in a demanding outdoor environment, handle the cleaning and sanitation activity that goes on outside a food facility, and hold up through Minnesota winters. Getting the surface prep right and applying the system to spec is what makes the difference between a coating that lasts and one that doesn't.

Three silos prepped, coated, and finished. Crew wrapped up and on to the next one.

TMI Coatings has been working with food and dairy processing facilities for 40+ years. If you manage tanks, silos, or vessels at a food or dairy operation, we'd love to talk. www.tmicoatings.com or send us a message.

TMI Coatings recently wrapped up grain bin base sealing at the largest ethanol producer in the world.

The scope was focused on one of the most overlooked details in grain storage; the base-to-foundation joint where the corrugated steel bin meets the concrete ring wall. It's a simple thing to ignore until it fails.

When that joint isn't properly sealed, moisture works its way in at ground level. That leads to corrosion on the bottom ring of the bin, deterioration of the concrete underneath, and over time - real structural and grain loss issues on assets that are built to hold millions of bushels.

We prepped the joint perimeter, addressed any existing cracks or gaps, and applied a high-performance sealant system across the full bin base. Clean, tight, and built to hold.

At a facility operating at this scale, the details aren't optional. We get that.

TMI works with grain handlers, co-ops, and ethanol producers across the country. Got grain storage infrastructure that needs attention? Send us a message or visit tmicoatings.com.

Ever wonder what's happening inside the tanks and basins that keep our water clean?
This is one of our TMI technicians at work inside a wastewater treatment facility, spray-applying a protective coating to concrete that takes a beating every day from moisture, chemicals, and relentless corrosion.
It might look like simple spraying, but there's real craft in it: careful surface prep, full containment to keep everything around it protected, and the right gear to keep our people safe. Done right, this work protects critical infrastructure for decades.
We've been at it since 1985, and we couldn't be prouder of the skilled crews who make it happen or of the communities across the Upper Midwest and beyond that count on the work.

Concrete pad restoration at an electrical co-op in Minnesota. Done the right way.

This equipment pad had years of weather and freeze-thaw damage. Before any coating was applied, we prepped and restored the substrate by repairing cracks, addressing surface deterioration, and ensuring the concrete was sound.

That step is what most people skip. And it's exactly why coatings fail.

Once the surface was ready, we applied a high-performance epoxy coating system for full coverage. Clean edges, consistent finish, and a system built to handle Minnesota winters and the chemical exposure that comes with electrical equipment pads.

TMI Coatings works with utilities, co-ops, and municipal operations teams on concrete restoration and coating projects across the country. Got a pad, slab, or concrete structure that's seen better days? Send us a message or visit tmicoatings.com.

New water storage tank, fresh coating system — somewhere in Texas. 🤠💧

TMI Coatings recently completed the exterior coating on this newly constructed water storage tank. New steel, properly prepped, full coating system applied to spec from the ground up.

Getting the coating right on a new tank matters more than most people think. Corrosion doesn't wait; if the coating system isn't properly applied from day one, you're accelerating the deterioration of an asset that's supposed to last 30, 40, 50 years.

TMI is certified by AMPP as both a QP1 and QP2 contractor. For water infrastructure projects, those certifications aren't just a credential on the wall. They're what qualified specifiers and municipalities look for when they need assurance that the work will be done right.

We work nationally on water towers, ground storage tanks, elevated tanks, new construction, and maintenance repaints.

Work underway at a creamery in northern Minnesota. FIBERLIFE fiberglass-reinforced wall coating.

Dairy and food processing facilities put serious demands on their wall systems. Daily chemical wash-downs, constant moisture exposure, temperature cycling, and physical impact from equipment and traffic. It's an environment that chews through standard paint in a fraction of the time.

The FIBERLIFE system is built for exactly this. Fiberglass mat embedded in resin, applied directly to the wall substrate, creating a seamless surface that resists moisture, chemicals, and impact; and can be cleaned to food-safe standards day after day.

What you can see in this photo: the walls are coated and the masking is tight. Every adjacent surface protected. Clean, contained work in an active food processing facility because that's the only way to work in an environment like this.

Own or manage a food or dairy processing facility? If your walls are showing their age, let's talk. www.tmicoatings.com or send us a message.

Next time you fly out of Appleton, look up.

TMI Coatings recently completed the structural steel canopy painting at Appleton International Airport in Wisconsin. The terminal entrance canopy — a wide-span steel framing system with corrugated deck panels — got a full repaint using a Sherwin-Williams high-performance coating system.

Two-tone finish: dark steel structural members, lighter corrugated deck. Clean, sharp, and built to last through Wisconsin winters.

Working in an active airport environment adds a layer of complexity that not every contractor is set up to handle — coordinating around passenger traffic, containing the work area, and keeping the site clean and professional throughout. That's just part of the job for our crews.

Proud of how this one turned out.
