It was great to be a part of this. My cheeks still hurt from all the smiles. The number of people that came out along the route and seeing the smiles on the faces of all the people, young and old, was inspirational. A great reminder that we are all in this together. We completed the removal of the Leroy “Library Tree”. We wanted to say thank you to the Leroy community for their understanding. It was great to see so many people who had a connection to this tree. We tried to do the best we could to supply those who stopped by with small pieces of the tree. Please know that there were sections of the tree saved to process into lumber for possible future projects. Please also know if there had been any way to save this tree we would have done so. Tree maintenance is much more rewarding to us than tree removal.
