This hallway is mid-renovation with fresh drywall on the walls and new ductwork being run along the floor before everything gets closed up. Once the flooring goes down and the trim goes on, none of this will be visible. But it all has to be in the right place before that happens.

The floor you see is only as good as what's underneath it.
Before any new flooring goes down in this bathroom, we laid a clean plywood base across the entire room. Getting it flat, tight, and properly secured at this stage is what keeps tile, vinyl, or hardwood from shifting, cracking, or coming loose down the road.
