A quick update from me regarding Katahdin Collectibles.

As many of you know, I've mentioned recently that I've been dealing with some ongoing physical health challenges and have been navigating a variety of appointments, tests, and procedures as I work toward finding answers and feeling better. Recently, I was fortunate to have several appointments become available much sooner than expected, including a few this week and next (two of which were scheduled just this morning for this Wednesday, the day I initially planned to open).

While I am grateful for those opportunities, it does mean that I need to push back the opening of the shoppe a bit longer so I can focus on taking care of myself and giving these appointments the attention they deserve.

Believe me when I say that this decision disappoints me. I have been working hard and diligently behind the scenes preparing for the season ahead, and I am incredibly excited for you to see everything that has been coming together. That work will not go unnoticed—it simply won't be experienced for a little while longer.

For those of you eager to stop in and support the shoppe, please know that your enthusiasm, encouragement, and loyalty mean more than I can adequately express. They are gifts I never take for granted. I understand—and even appreciate—if you're disappointed by this news. The truth is, the timing just isn't quite right. And, if I'm being honest, neither am I. I want to feel better and feel as though I'm truly moving down a path toward wellness before jumping back into the familiar routines and responsibilities that come with opening the doors.

Patience can be difficult.

But so can being a patient.

Please keep an eye out for future updates as I continue working toward opening day. And if you're the praying kind, I would certainly appreciate being added to your list. Overall, I am doing okay, but chronic issues are just that—chronic—and sometimes they require us to slow down when we'd rather be moving forward.

In the meantime, I will be holding another Inventory Reduction Sale on Thursday, June 11, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. I'd love to see you if you're able to stop by.

A quick little update from me regarding the opening of Katahdin Collectibles for the 2026 season. 💚

After a great deal of thought, planning and trying to balance all of the moving parts of life as responsibly as I can, opening day for the season will officially be Wednesday, June 10.

Truthfully, the last several weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind behind the scenes. While I have tried to remain relatively quiet about it publicly, I have also been navigating some personal health challenges of late — lots of appointments, testing, and a few small procedures as doctors and I work toward getting some answers. Nothing about that journey has been easy, but it has reminded me, once again, just how important it is to listen to your body, extend yourself grace, and not force life into timelines that no longer fit.

At the same time, many of you know how deeply I love creativity, decorating, styling spaces, and event planning. Unexpectedly, I was recently given the opportunity to travel to Texas at the end of this month and beginning of June to take on some home decorating work — opportunities that genuinely mean so much to me and simply were not something I felt I could turn down. Getting back to that side of myself creatively has filled a part of my spirit that has honestly been a little dormant for a while now.

And while I am incredibly excited to reopen the doors of Katahdin Collectibles, I also know myself well enough to understand that, once those doors open, I want to be consistent. I want to be present. I want the shoppe to feel full of life, intention, creativity, beauty and warmth — not rushed, scattered, or stretched too thin.

So, waiting until June truly feels like the best personal and professional decision I can make right now for continuity in both my daily life and my career as a shoppe owner.

I cannot adequately express how much your patience, kindness, encouragement and continued support have meant to me — especially through seasons of life that have felt heavier and more complicated than most people probably realize.

In the meantime, I will continue hosting my inventory reduction sales, featuring incredible pricing on overstocked inventory — many items marked down between 75-90% off original pricing. There are still so many beautiful finds waiting for good homes, and I hope you will continue stopping by, sharing the posts, bringing friends, and supporting this little dream of mine as we move toward another season together.

In between appointments yesterday, I was able to stop by Winterport Marketplace to replenish some hand soap and room sprays (which have been flying off the shelves!! 🙌🫶), as well as a few other goodies! Some highlights include this Maine HOME dad-style hat, designed and made by me! These generally sell quickly, and I only had the one in stock for yesterday, but I will have more, and in a couple different colorways, soon!

Additionally, the feeling nauti sign is a fun play on words, and I'm a little obsessed with this weathered look. This is another handmade item, and I am happy to take orders for custom signage for just about anything!

The makeup/everyday canvas bags have a fun arrow print, and are.a good size and an incredible value at only $4ea.

For anyone who lives on (or prefers) the lake, these small wooden shelf signs are a great addition to your decor (or a simple and thoughtful gift)! And the mini cobalt vases compliment them perfectly.

For those of you who are loving the return or granny/cottage core, with the geese, ducks, and swans...we have a stunning piece restocked for you! And more to come!

Speaking of the hand soaps and room sprays, I cannot thank you enough for my sales.of this sku so far! This is a relatively new extension of my brand and making, and I have worked very hard to get it right. Therefore, your validation through purchases feels very gratifying. I have made candles (some of which are also present in my booth) for years, but expanding the brand was something I have wanted to do, but only in the last year dedicated myself to fully. I restocked the lemon room spray completely, as well as several varieties of hand soap. My personal favorite being the almond. Give it a sniff and grab it before it is sold!

While you are at it, be sure to check out the booth of my new friend Deb, at My Maine Gardens!! Everything she has is so beautiful, quality and thoughtfully curated! She is the green thumb, keeping it real (pun intended) plant queen to my highest quality, low-maintenance silk plant/floral king...and it works so brilliantly! Please see this update about this week's Katahdin Collectibles inventory reduction sale! Initially, tomorrow (5.11) and Wednesday (5.13) from 1-6 were the days for this week, but recently scheduled doctor appointments for both mom and myself are forcing me to pivot. The sale will still take place this week, but on Wednesday and Thursday (5.13 & 14) from 1-6 instead. I'm sorry for the last-minute change and any inconvenience it may cause, but I'm updating in real-time! See you Wednesday (or Thursday)!!

PS: NO, KC is not closing! I understand why people ask, but these events, while affiliated with the shop in the respect that a vast majority of the items being sold originated at KC, are only to make room for brand new merchandise coming to the shoppe for this season (which will begin within the next 2 weeks, so stay tuned). 🙂♥️ As a matter of fact, I'm more excited for the new season ahead than I've been in 3 or 4 years!

To all of the mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms, grieving mothers, mothers-to-be, and women who love and nurture others so selflessly…Happy Mother’s Day. 💐

This holiday feels a little different for me these days. As many of you know, my own mom has been through so much over the past couple of years. There were moments when life felt uncertain, heavy, and incredibly fragile. Moments that changed all of us. And yet, somehow, through every hard season, she has continued to show up with warmth, resilience, humor, tenderness, and love. Even now, in the midst of healing and adapting to a very different life than the one she once knew, she still finds joy in the little things…flowers on the table, baking something sweet, helping me price items for the shoppe, or simply sitting nearby while I dream out loud about all that is still to come.

I will never stop being grateful for her.

Truthfully, this season of life has reminded me that motherhood is not measured in perfection, energy, or productivity. It is measured in presence. In sacrifice. In quiet strength. In the million unseen ways mothers continue to pour themselves into the people they love…even when they themselves are tired, hurting, or carrying burdens no one else fully sees.

To my amazing customers and supporters: thank you for continuing to walk alongside me, my family, and my little business through every season. Your kindness, encouragement, grace, and loyalty have meant more than you know. Truly. You have helped keep hope and excitement alive during a time that has not always been easy.

I am so excited to welcome you back to the shoppe soon and cannot wait for all that this new season will bring — beautiful new inventory, fresh ideas, meaningful moments, and hopefully a space that continues to feel warm, welcoming, and full of heart.

Until then, hug your people a little tighter today. Celebrate the mothers who are here, remember the ones who are not, and never underestimate the power of love that quietly holds families together every single day.
