My name is Ryan Chapell, owner of Green Mountain Stump Grinding. Over the past couple years I have been repurposing the woodchips from stump grinding into compost. I add leaves, manure, and potash and follow practices from Cornell University's On-Farm Composting Handbook. All compost is screened to less than half inch through a Revolver Trommel screener. I'd be happy to have you come to my site located at my family's farm in East Montpelier, or I can deliver for a fee which varies based on location. $70/cubic yard. I can haul up to 18 yards at a time and anticipate product will be available early April. Feel free to reach out with questions, I love to talk dirt (or stumps).
