This is one of the most fulfilling and meaningful jobs that I’ve ever done. I’ve been in or around this church for 20 years, from getting baptized together with my mother, to my brothers wedding services, and even holding my mothers funeral services. When the pastor came to me with a job opportunity fixing and painting the sanctuary ceiling I was more than blessed in so many ways. This place has HISTORY, originally being built in 1879 as a public school, I’d say it more than qualifies as a historic piece.
I used 180’ of fiber mesh tape, a 20 lb bag of USG 45 joint compound, 2 gallons of Sherwin Williams Oil Based primer, and 8 gallons of Sherwin Williams Duration Acrylic Latex paint. Being 17’ around the perimeter with a lofted ceiling to about 20’ in the middle this wasn’t an easy job by any means. I always put my entire heart into my work but I also put my soul into this one. Facebook won’t let me post a video and pictures at the same time so click on my page to see the finished product in a video.
Also wanted to thank my church family for the help and fellowship along the way COULDNT have done it without you.
