We had 2 large trucks come in on Thursday of last week! Large Endless Summer Hydrangea, climbing hydrangea, Purple Pixie Loropetalum, Purple Diamond Loropetalum, large Winter Gem Boxwoods, Native Shenandoah Switch Grass, Butterfly W**d, Butterfly Bush, Native Clethra, Pineapple Pop rocks Spirea, Chindo Viburnum, Native Winterthur Viburnum are just a few of of what came in on Thursday. Included in the pictures are 2 special orders that came in as well. One is a Dappled Willow Tree and the other is 4 large Sky Pencil Holly.

PLANT OF THE WEEK: MOTHER'S DAY EDITION

Instead of doing a Plant of the Week post, I wanted to highlight some of the beautiful hanging baskets and patio pot plants that we currently have available. The patio pots include Begonias, Calibrachoa, Lantana and a Pink Lemonade combination of Petunia. The hanging baskets include Petunia, Lantana, New Guinea and Pansies.

Are you still looking for a Mother's Day gift? We had 4 trucks come in yesterday loaded with plants! We have restocked our perennials which includes Shasta Daisy, Black Eyed Susan, Cone Flowers and so much more! We also restocked our Annuals. Our Annuals included impatients, petunias, Portulaca, Lantana, GERANIUMS, marigolds and much more. We have some beautiful hanging baskets and patio potted plants that would make lovely gifts. We also got in some larger boxwood, Little Lime, Little Lime Punch and Limelight Hydrangeas as well as Dwarf Gold Dust Aucuba, Loropetalum and large 15gal Crape Myrtles.

PLANT OF THE WEEK: WHITE FRINGE TREE

The White Fringe Tree (Chionanthus Virginicus) is a Native tree that grows well in moist, well drained soil either in full sun or part shade. White Fringe Tree typically has a spreading, rounded habit and grows 12- 20Ft tall by 12- 20Ft wide. It is a deciduous tree that has drooping clusters of fringe like white petals which is why the tree is called a White Fringe Tree. It is commonly found in rich, moist woods and along stream beds.

So many things happening at the nursery! Our Earth Day Sale is still going on and will last until the trailer is empty. Our peonies and clematis are starting to bloom. We had another large delivery of lavender yesterday along with Citronella (Mosquito Plants) and Mandevilla. We also got our first deliver of ANNUALS as well as TOMATO and PEPPER plants yesterday!!

PLANT OF THE WEEK: STUNNER WEIGELA

Stunner Weigela (Weigela X Spring 2) is a small, compact growing perennial shrub that thrives in full sun light. This shrub has vibrant, purple foliage that contrasts nicely with the trumpet shaped pink blooms and grows approximately 4ft X 4ft. The blooms attract butterflies, hummingbirds as well as other pollinators. Stunner Weigela is resistant to deer, drought and the cold. It can be used in many ways such as a pretty statement shrub or a small attractive hedge.
