😳 we miss our Elms 🌳. This elm (ulmus Americana) ate its tree fort a couple decades ago. What a grand tree.

ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE American Elm measures an incredible 281”( 7’ 5” diameter). The average crown/limb spread measures 142 feet 4 inches. The height is just as impressive at 98 feet 5 inches tall. This tree scores at 415 points. A National champion contender. So few American Elms exist at this size anymore because of Dutch Elm Disease so this tree is very uncommon to see with a girth that massive. This tree likely is pushing 300 years old or more. Located in Kalamazoo Michigan(Kalamazoo County).
