Elmore County Cooling Stations for Monday, August 17, 2026

For Monday, August 17, 2026, the National Weather Service in Birmingham has placed Elmore County under an EXTREME HEAT WARNING. Elmore County EMA has identified the following locations will be open as “Cooling Stations” on Monday during the times listed below. Citizens, please note that cooling stations are not long-term shelters but are places to cool off for a short time. You should bring all items to sustain yourself, such as food and water. All animals MUST be in a crate.

Wetumpka area:
• Elmore County Historic Courthouse, 100 E. Commerce St., Wetumpka, AL
OPEN from 8 am – 4:30 pm
• First Presbyterian Church, 100 West Bridge Street, Wetumpka, AL 36092,
OPEN 24 hours a day

Tallassee area:
• Tallassee City Hall, 3 Freeman Avenue, Tallassee, AL 36078,
OPEN from 8 am – 4:30 pm
• Tallassee Police Department, 100 N. Ann Street, Tallassee, AL 36078,
OPEN from 8 am – 4:30 pm

Millbrook area:
• Millbrook Senior Center, 3560 Grandview Rd Millbrook, AL 36054,
OPEN from 8 am – 4:30 pm
• Millbrook First Methodist Church, 3350 Edgewood Road, Millbrook, 36054,

Hey yall. We still have some MILD pepper sauce quarts left!

Hey yall! Our garden is working over time and we are up to our eyeballs in fresh peppers.
We've put up 20 quarts of pepper sauce in the last week alone.
That being said, we have a couple of MILD pints available for $5.
We have MILD and HOT Quarts available for $10.

Hey yall. I just wanted to pop on and give a quick update.
Unfortunately we will likely not be attending many farmers markets or events this year due to my husband's continually declining health.
We will absolutely do our best to make it to Alabama Backs The Blue market later this year as well as Real Men Wear Pink in honor of my sister who lost the battle with breast cancer, if they do one this year.

We are still taking orders for a few items, which i will post shortly. They will be available for delivery/meet-up locally
