This is for the Den, NOT The main house. The den was added on sometime in the 80's. I still need to come up with something to do with the 1788 main house floors that leak cold air in.

Bathroom sink upgrade to vessel sink was a first for me, I had picked up from an auction the faucet ($5) then the vessel sink ($79). Needing a 31" x 20" flat counter top I decided to make my own using leftover plywood and some leftover flooring which did not have a pad attached and I used wood glue then clamped it overnight before drilling the drain and faucet holes.....

The Den Stairs Falling Apart at the back door leading to the den. We stopped using this door some time ago, the wood was rotting and the sagging was bad. The other problem was the 'Landing' area dipped downwards and was so short you could not stand on it and hold the storm door open. The other door off the kitchen was the go to door for a long time even if you were in the den you would walk through the dining room and into the kitchen then out that door....

Flexible Duct And Spa Deck work continues Well This post includes some AC Duct upgrades and the hot tub deck, Last year the deck was built for the hot tub, the tub was removed for the winter, before I set it back up I decided to add a roof and treat the pressure treated wood which I always like to dry out before adding sealer, etc....

The upstairs bath was overdue to get some TLC. The time was right as we were able to pickup a new toilet , flooring (Cork) and some corner cabinets from the auctions for a real good price. The biggest problem was the floor was not level and sagged almost Three quarters of an inch to the door, this made the toilet so unlevel the seat had a hard time staying up when lifted....

Den Windows Replaced Low-E (4) Not sure of the age (maybe 80's) of the old wood windows but clearly they were installed a long time ago and did a very poor job of keeping the cold and heat out of the den since they were single pane with no storm windows or screens, I had to order these new windows and it took over a month to come in, I measured 3 times before I ordered them and all 4 fit perfect, looking forward to having windows with screens that can open without lots of force ( A small hammer and or pry bar) and having to place a expandable screen below the sash....

Where have I been, No posts for awhile, too hot and enjoying not doing much but enjoying the AC. It's vacation but I have done other things not house related. Dryer broke and needed a new heating element, upgraded my desktop PC, Painted walls and worked on the 2 cars, replaced 2 faulty GFCI outlets. ceiling lights, etc. Spent a lot of time on the Jukebox enjoying not being outside in this very hot and humid weather....
