The garden at our farm is showing off for June! Despite the drought and lack of watering, these day lilies always show up for us this time of year. On a side note, did you know the petals are edible!? Rich in antioxidants like vitamin c and a, they make a lovely, colorful addition to salads and other fresh meals! Always be sure you’re consuming true daylilies (genus Hemerocallis) and not other garden lilies as those are toxic.

Plant native, y’all! If it weren’t for the butterfly w**d in our garden, we never would have witnessed this.

From seeing the mama monarch lay her eggs, to watching them hatch and grow, to making their chrysalis (this one on the pet water bowl of all places!), and finally emerging. What a beautiful cycle to witness and share with our children. Wow!

We’re expanding! Added lavender to the farm today for future bouquets and dried for eating!

The art of noticing. It’s easy to get swept up in the busyness of life. We like to practice stopping and noticing the tiniest moments that make up our world. What a beautiful, exceptional planet we live on.
